Turns out the fridge warmed up to over 12C in the cycle, and those cycles were often. Just a really old, badly insulated, at the of its rope thing

So yeah we had the fridge replaced and even though I trust this new one, I still keep a sensor in to make sure everything is okay

Also HA sends me a push notification if the temp rises over 10 C so I know something is broken or we left the door open

The future US strategy is a mess. ASTC3.0 is kinda stalled right now and is tending toward all OTA channels being encrypted and needing special hardware to decrypt, which not every receiver has. And then we have TV Everywhere, which is a streaming solution, but some channels are backing away from that, and some just stream from their website

I've tried numerous ways to run HAOS...but I don't have a spare 'puter with UEFI, and virtualbox seems like a mess, too.... -- I had asked a while back, if you might consider making it work on the Start9 Server...and I also asked the Start9 folks to get in touch with you to get it on there...you know, it's a physical server, but if there was a 'package' of HAOS that would work on there, it would run really well....and it would be so easy to set up.... -- has there been any development for that by chance?

I figured out how to get settings exposed as switches in HomeKit (took several hours), but there’s no way to control volume. You can’t even get sound modes exposed in HomeKit without writing tons of buttons and automations and stuff. It’s just way too convoluted for something that should be simple.

Yeah, that’s my main issue. I use HomeKit for everything. But Apple’s automation system leaves a lot to be desired (like there’s no logs… so it’s a never ending guessing game when something doesn’t work).

I was hoping to just set everything up in HA, then expose some buttons and stuff to HomeKit.

But you can’t run an automation from HomeKit if you expose it directly, for example… you have to make a helper button in HA, then an automation that is triggered by that button push to run another automation… like… WTF? 😅

It didn't help that there was a lot of shouting going on because there were two issues somewhat simultaneously, of which some uses had both, and some only one or the other, and the people who only had one issue were utterly falling to understand those with both

Hello everyone. I'm quite certain this isn't the best channel to ask this but I can't seem to find answers anywhere else. I inadvertedly upgraded Docker to v28 on my Raspberry, where I had HA running.
As part of my HA compose definitions I have a sysctl block like this:

    sysctls:
      - net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=0
      - net.ipv6.conf.eth0.proxy_ndp=1

However, now I can't start HA because I get an error with the message Error response from daemon: interface specific sysctl setting "net.ipv6.conf.eth0.proxy_ndp" must be supplied using driver option 'com.docker.network.endpoint.sysctls'

How can I fix this? Is this a common issue?
