so heres an interesting cycling thing where people use stats in a not quite right manner:
thing that is said "cycling with a helmet is safer"... this may be true but nessasarily why you would think
the stats are from cyclists that have an accident and do/do not suffer head injuries vs if they were waring a helmet
BUT this stat is only from people that are already in an accident.
if you had stats from people in car accidents with and without helmets guess which group would have less head injuries
if you had stats from people walking down the road and getting into an accident with/without helmets which group would have less head injuries

if you get into an accident you would be better off if you were waring a helmet in almost every situation

its also been shown that cyclists wearing a helmet are more likely to get into an accident than those that are not

if all your devices are set with a static IP and you reset those static IP's on the new router it should work just fine. I would suggest disconnecting or turning off HA during that process just to keep auto discovery from filling up phantom entries but even those would poof after some time

during the process of readding the device to the network it gets auto assigned a dynamic IP which the auto discovery could catch

and once you reset that to a static diffrent IP the entry in HA dosen't just poof instantly

it was more of a "not dealing with the clutter" suggestion

Lower temp on the iron to start. Tin the wires first so when you go to solder them to other things, you spend less time futzing around with the solder.

You need a solder station. Even the cheapo Weller one with just a rotating knob is going to be good. The plug in single temp solder irons are better suited for stained glass work than electronics.
