We don’t have guests lmao - everyone in the house is in bed before midnight most times. Even then, the vacuum isn’t so loud it’s annoying because we have captions on for everything we watch.

The vacuum cleaning automation triggers when the confirm button from the notification is selected. The recurring event is only to trigger the notification.

In a way, I think when you get into HA notifications, TTS and all that is just reinforcement that HA, is there and running. As you spend more time you tend to look for bliss. 0 notifications = bliss (with a finely tuned automation engine). 😃

If you really think about it everything is stateful except the action. When you run 6 or 700 automations there is no way of knowing hits or misses. Llm would be good as long as it takes about 5 or 7 months to learn.

How will LLM differentiate between a open and cracked open garage door? Hall sensor/position sensor state? Is it OK to leave it cracked or should it be closed. I wish we had states for everything in life. 😆

I've come here from GITHUB - I wanted to report an issue and it said come here if I didn't know where to put, so I've come here and still don't know where to put it!
Anyway, I got annoyed with Local-Tuya yesterday and deleted it (I will cope with plain Tuya)
So I deleted the integration. On reboot the system said these automation won't work - Which is brilliant
But if I disable the command, it won't let me save it, I have to delete then command to save
Only a minor issue - It would be nice that disable warned but still saved

Unclear which command you're talking about, but deleting it is the right process if it no longer exists. You can't simply disable it

the way the hdmi consortium is playing dirty with linux i will be looking at dp in the future.

amd developed an open source driver for linux for hdmi 2.1 to get support for new features. the hdmi forum nixed it. they will not approve that any hardware vendor ships open source drivers for those new features it seems.

some hardware vendors (asus nuc form factor pc's iirc?) have evaded it by using dp internally and then just converting the signal to hdmi just before the port.

I incorrectly blamed windows.....so booted back into linux, same problem, then went looked at my switch and it was orange instead of green so I unplugged it and replugged it in, went green, transfers still sucked, so unplugged and went to a different port green but still slow transfers.
