I've had Google Fiber for about 10 years now, both when I lived downtown KC and now down by the grandview triangle.. and I can count on one hand the number of outages I've dealt with.. the speed's been great, tech support responsive (the two times I've called them).. and even this latest outage, it was an aerial fiber cut, either caused by a car accident or "vandalism" (thieves not realizing it's not copper)

In my case, I couldn't make it a smart switch because the motion sensor light/cameras combo units are on the same circuit .. so it needs to be "on" all of the time.
