I don't think you can escape having to basically let plex resync with all your media switching from windows to linux. most of the plex stuff outside of the media under windows is stored in the registery which does not work with linux

this is one of those bite the bullet type of scenarios BUT once you make the switch you will have a whole lot more options available to you down the road

READ, watch videos everything you can BEFORE doing anything. There are guides out there that walk you through from start to finish but you have to have some understanding of whats going on before doing anything, otherwise it will just frustrate you and you will get stuck

Yeah, some people have decent results with them... others not so much. The Apollo MSR-2 is usb-c powered (5V, IIRC) but isn't ceiling mounted, per se. It can be mounted in the ceiling though. ...yup.. even after a reboot.. if I edit the target channel ID in the automation, in UI edit mode, the save button never comes up. If I edit it in yaml mode, it does, but then if I leave and come back, the last two digits of the ID have been replaced with 00, which then errors because it's not found 🙃

The people who made mine were surprisingly helpful. I emailed them to ask whether I could get draw from it (has a supply to run PE beams, but wasn't clear if it was usable), they sent me back all the detail I needed.

Was able to get power+ground, a line that goes hot when the motor is moving (used as a trigger to turn on the garage lights), an "auxillary" which can be programmed to the 2nd button on the remove which I can use as another arbitrary trigger, and then the control wire (which just goes to the normal dry contact input)
