I have a load of BLE / Wifi LED downlights which I was using Alexa to control a smart switch to turn on and off and if I wanted to change colour I’d use BRMesh. (Terrible).

So I seen a post on here and someone was mentioning using Broadlink Magic Home & the little hub you have to buy to integrate voice so I can tell alexa to set it to red / blue etc.

However after spending ages adding all the lights etc it wouldnt let me group, so it just added like 25 lights individually to alexa even, so it was a pain deleting them all, then I added all the rooms, it was a little bit better but still not able to group them so I could say Alexa - Turn on the wall and set to green etc.

Does anyone know how to use Broadlink Magic Home to set up groups? is there a better app? Are there better ways?

Now I think I grok that naming occurs at 4 levels: Integration, Integration Entry, Device, Entity.

But why? It's not clear to me what the functional/usable difference is between an Integration Entry name and a Device name. Is there some point to being able to address those separately with configurations?

And why does only the Device name change offer to change the subordinate Entity name? Wouldn't it make sense if the Integration Entity name flowed downward to the Device and Entities?

Before, we had clear, specific channels with open discussion where people could discuss specific topics openly with everyone. You could make a toggle Helper for each scene and use that to action the scene, then a rule to toggle it off if any of the bulbs in the scene change state
