I 3D printed a clip to let me clip my phone to an Xbox controller

Works pretty well, modern phones are decent at gaming

I can run Wii games on my phone mostly full speed

Also steamlink and xbox game cloud both work well with it

I look at the home automation hardware generically, just like I do with servers, if the router is a bulb or a physical switch it is the same to me, just like a desktop server is the same as a 48U server in the end, they just look slightly different.
makes it easier for me to troubleshoot any system, I just look at it from the lowest common denominator then go up from there to visualize the actual problem

but my mind works pretty abstracted and I do visual exploded diagrams in my head
