And with a rolljam attack every single digit sent is another try, send 100 digits on a 32 digit code and you've made 68 authentication attempts.

I bought generic openers when I got my house, they have a 10 position switch on them to choose which manufacturer they work with and a button.
I also bought a keypad that takes a 4 digit code to open the door but it keeps falling out of sync with the opener after like two months.

The weak receiver of my garage door let me do the same. My car has a android carplay dongle which also is a mobile device in HA. When it approaches the house HA opens the door. And it does it when I‘m ~50m away from the house, I suspect its not even gps but a glimpse of my wifi which lets that dongle trigger the position update instantly always. Magic.

I had to go through a whole palava of making sure being connected (bluetooth) to my car triggers "high accuracy" mode for position updates (from 30 -> 5 seconds, I think), so the "device enters home zone" trigger happens quickly enough
