Our house is fun like that too. It's wood, but SOLID wood. Imagine like a log cabin, but tounge-and-groove planks (about 175mm tall, interior walls are 45mm thick).
Because it's essentially a kitset, it's all pre-cut, pre-drilled, and pre-routed at the factory. So there's a cutout that is the "box" for each outlet/switch, and every plank above and/or below has a hole drilled vertically through it.
Absolute nightmare if you ever need to change anything.

People end up either cutting out behind something on the other side of a wall (have to be pretty lucky to have something where you want it), using surface mount capping (not desirable), or my favourite (which our house has a couple of), chiseling out a hole right above the floor, then drilling down through the bottom.

Well what I did is I re-used the holes a previous owner had made to install night storage heaters in the hallway and lounge.
Hallway hole became WiFi AP, and power cable (had its own 20A breaker) now powers my rack.
Lounge hole became two network outlets behind the TV, and its power had been re-purposed for a heat pump already.

You might be out of luck there buddy, but a bit of EQ can help a ton with the tone of headphones. Stuff like Equalizer APO for Windows or Wavelet for Android are a godsend

Yeah local stores here might have some Beats junk, probably some Sony WH-1000XM* model, possibly Bose QC if that's a brand they sell.
All mass-market, nothing you'd necessarily call "high end".
