opnsense definitely gets feature updates in a more reasonable timeframe and has more third-party support out of the box

pfSense is created with the idea of you running it on one of their dedicated appliances with a support contract

OPNsense is made more as an open-source community project

All that tends to lead to OPNsense working on a wider configuration of hardware and getting features average joes want faster

That being said I'm still on pfSense because I never found incentive to move.

let me give you an example. I started making a sensor timing the commute to work two days ago, but since that started with the UPS, and fixing a 4G dongle, installed greylog and authentic (but not added one user)

and the plan is still the commute sensor

so its frustrating

I looked at some popular apps, and they are really not impressive for what you pay

And I still dont know if I am going to use greylog, spluk (with the free enterprise license) or loki

no i just have used it once in a course i took part
it was ruby like fast, with changing anything taking 3-5 minutes
but then it looks like this was a very old version and they did change a lot of stuff
