I am making progress with my food pantry home assistant project and I'm feeling pretty good about it. 2 units down with just the storage unit left to do. I'm gathering evidence that we need to upgrade our air conditioners cuz it's not even hot yet and it's running a lot in unit 8 cuz all our fridges/freezers are like space heaters and there are 6 of them in unit 8. I added a new device that uses LEDs to signal when it is appropriate to leave the back door open which is based on weather/thermostat set point temperature difference.

the building is kept around 72 and this is the data from the thermocouple amplifier boards internal temp sensors on top of the freezers. The dip is with the external doors open. I will be able to see an improvement if the fan works.

Tracking a device if stolen yet notifying every person with an Apple device that it is near was always mind boggling to me although I am not sure tracking if stolen was an intended purpose either. You can disable alerts per device which solves the family alerts but being able to share is nice.

Funny story. I go to the gym every morning and leave my iPad at home. Get that alert every morning. Thought of disabling it but it is not that intrusive. Last week we were out of town visiting family. The last night there I was watching something on my iPad in bed. Fell asleep and it fell behind the bed. I've got an interview tomorrow for a job that is for 27k a year. That's considered a really good pay where i live

For 130k a year i could afford to buy my own flat within a year

Instead I'd have to work 5 years and not spend any money at all to afford a mid tier flat

Wages had gone up at most by 30% past 15 years. Yet the inflation is way higher. Everything is basically double the price
