Careful with cache on synology. It is higher risk than benefit as it eat up the drive and you loose all your data. I noticed it with 1% lifespan and saved 40TB of data.

took me a bit to figure that one out without looking it up
the gen1 you can simple control seperatly such as turn on night light but the gen 2 cannot be operated that way

I wasn't able to try the screenreader hack with my unit because apparently they've removed that option from the iOS Google Home app (somebody used an older version of the app on a jailbroken phone) and my crappy Android phone kept restarting the app when I tried to change settings. I was planning to move forward with re-flashing it, but spflash doesn't see it for some reason (even though it's enumerated properly and fastboot sees it). I'm going to try another cable

Yep, works beautifully for alarms and all the GA stuff. Better yet, without redrawing anything over FKB. Media puts FKB to background but returns after. I am not that interested in playing music on this probably some alert one day. All rooms have their own AV driver already
