I got a Revo recently so I can switch nozzles in a minute flat. Print most things with .6 mm now. It's nearly instant.

with the exception of that one spot only on the first layer i don't get strings really which i was expecting

I switched the default firmware to something that has more spots for leveling and that seems to have worked out well. I haven't been printing much lately though

have a bltouch around here somewhere jut haven't had time to deal with it. got a few thing to get printed o i can finish up some other projects

I accidentally bought some PETG a long time ago

it was before I had ever printed anything or knew materials. A design said it used PETG and I trusted it. 😦

while pla can last for awhile inside out of the sun i guess over time it just breaks down regardless

i really don't see the diffrence between commercial composting and the average joes compost. aside from one is tended to regularly but the conditions can be very much the same

Not quite. PLA requires even more. AFAIK there's not a single facility in all of Sweden who can do it, for example.

For most people it's better to just put failed prints in the plastic recycling bin or with the incineration.

@dusky plank slowed down the intial first layer speed and all is well. I can clearly see the weird spot where it doesn't want to stick to the bed. has to be a warped bed from factory issue cause on both sides where you would level it the print is fine but this one small patch must sit lower or something like a dimple

i can see the layers not touching in that spot so that means the nozzle isn't far enough down to spread the filament

guess at some point i'll pick up a glass bed. just like the magnetic for pulling it off

love how lowering the initial speed by 5 mm/s tacked on an additional hour lol
