Got it. Alarm without physical response makes very little sense. 2 to 3 minute response time at that. 😀 I personally don't believe in alarms anymore other than connected fire alarms.

I also have a fire alarm, though I broke my z-wave adapter so they're just expensive smoke detectors at the moment.

Pushed the cart my server was on too close to the wall and crushed it.

I want to get a heat detector alarm for my garage but I couldn't find a z-wave one.

I have not encountered false alarms. I have backup nest alarms in kitchen areas. I let the alarm company handle the fire alarms. Although I don't have a burger alarm system 😀

It's just shitty battery housing design

I bootlegged it with some aluminum foil to make sure it was making contact and it fired right up

does anyone have any experience with OBS? I got a phone on the wall in each room with an nginx server so that media follows me around the house when I enter each room. Whatever Im watching on the Desktop pc just gets cast to whatever room is engaged BUT it's not yet seamless

the point is that what Im watching on the PC gets cast to whatever room I enter

so that when I get up I dont have to pause, media just keeps playing

youtube, movies, songs, anything

the obs and the nginx are on the same computer, with the nginx only acting as a relay, using virtually no resources

now my problem is with the OBS

it crashes sometimes and I thought maybe someone has experience with the settings, to help me diagnose and fine tune
