i currently added a horizontal hinge on the top admission hole, whose movement i'm detecting with a reed relay, but it only works if the hinge bends 50-90 degrees, like in the case of a full envelope being shoved in
if you shove the envelope sidewise, or put some small mail in (like a postit) it doesn't work.

Howdy! Think this is the right channel to post as it's not related to HA directly. I've got a amcrest turret cam (https://amcrest.com/4k-poe-camera-turret-ip8m-t2599ew.html) along with a junction box (also from amcrest). Maybe overthinking it, but I'd like to mount it on a wall, however I'm concerned rain could get in between the camera and junction box and subsequently get inside to the wires, as there is no seal between the two (i could tape it up I guess) — has anyone done similar without issues?

Yeah on a wall instead, I've seen wall brackets for them, but they seem overly priced here in the UK (£35), the camera can be tilted so the horizon is correct if that helps so there's no wonky images

Even got it working with their Nest thermostat and some Node-Red glue for a water valve on our property. And also working with their Google Home so they can command Google to do the odd thing.
But I am a bit disappointed I couldn't get the Roomba working. It'd be a new kind of integration for me to learn and suggest some neat automations to try out.

What I think should count is absolutely relevant because otherwise it's impossible for me to follow the rule. Like I said -- if invisible lines count, I broke the rule. If invisible lines do not count, then I was falsely accused. So yes, I think it does matter. By the way my goal is to not be argumentative, I am striving to be a good citizen and understand the rules better.
To me, the spirit of the rule says that only lines that get rendered matter. Because lines that do not get rendered are not disruptive to the community. Or put another way, they do not make a larger message which is the point of the rule.

What I understand so far is that the bot counts syntax lines, but I don't know if that's a "bug" in the bot. Honestly I wouldn't (and didn't) reasonably assume that non-rendered lines would count. Why am I being reprimanded?? The rules say to ask questions if I'm unsure. That's what I'm doing.

portainer is awesome to have a quick overview/monitor of the cluttered mess of hosts and containers i have, the log view and web shell is nice for that. every container is configured and runs via compose though, all hosts expose their docker socket to the portainer instance

BBSs and warez groups back in the 80s/90s were about a community of like-minded individuals and usually restricted membership. There are so many public trackers out there with anonymous folks just grabbing stuff that the motivation seems less clear

There once was a time, where the majority of people were onboard of pirate ships.

But after a few years, companies got greedy again and everyone started to pull their media from netflix & started their own streaming services.
Now you gotta pay >40€ a month for streaming services, in order to watch all your heart desire.
