Everyone missed?
It was literally translated like the very same day it came out
Saw tweets doing this when I woke up
He's not just talking about the zepho symbols watch the vid
Actually translating runes and connecting fallen order directly
Imagine if there was a channel called Star Wars Explained Explained
Imagine if there were good Star Wars youtube channels... wait.
for a second i thought this was a SWT vid and he was actually returning to form
oops

lmfaooo
Star Wars Theory is annoying.
yup he sucks
Star wars explained MVP
hes just super positive, super nice, and even the stuff he doesnt like he just talks about what he likes and makes content that any sane person can find middle ground on
Imagine if HelloGreedo removed his helmet and it was SWT
Kind of like a Metal Gear Solid situation where Greedo is the Solid clone?

Oh it was 10,000
I missed a 0 oops
That’s ok. We’re all zeros here
Ten thousand units are ready with a million more well on the way
That’s…good news
There
You just gotta look hard enough
Kinda sucks that SWT’s name has tainted any headline that begins with “Star Wars theory suggests” etc
But also Star Wars journalism itself has been tainted
I’m so glad I’m not in the fray of reading so much of it anymore
the true star wars theory is how the fuck did he get such a huge following while being so incredibly stupid
The true theory is artoo fucked your mom
roasted
the anti-sjw rabbit hole runs deep
🐇
Nonsense probably
I like that threepio is included. Dude’s gonna murder a gold translator
Why not, its probably just an easter egg for anybody crazy enough to look.
They do it all the time
Cute little Easter egg I likey
Baylan and Kreia both want to end the cycle of light vs dark. It's really cool to see her ideals reflected in live action.
why does he have beef with a blue trash can
Huyang couldn't wait that long
"We shall see how brave you are when nailed to the walls of Hoover Dam, your body facing west so you may watch your world die."
What if we’re just getting another Phasma situation with Enoch?
The thought occurred to me
Gets tossed aside, backstory told in subpar book, comes back and gets defeated
Oh and comic mini
have you read said subpar book
Yeah
It was like Mad Max meets Lord of the Flies and it didn’t really flesh out Phasma all that much imo
The way they built up Phasma's return in TLJ only to waste her again will never not be funny
I think I liked the comic more, as it built her up in the timeframe between her TFA and TLJ appearances, but then it made her defeat a little more disappointing
Like, the comic miniseries, my score for that back then overall would’ve been 4.25/5 from the looks of it.
Novel I rated 2/5
But it did give us Vi Moradi, whom I enjoyed reading more about in that Galaxy’s Edge novel
luna stop using twitter
I cant I sold my soul
They would have if they could instead of Inquisitor Whatshisface.
genuine brainrot
you're probably right but its where i get my movie news
ive been slowly trying to turn my feed from star wars to fionna and cake and its not working
i mean, if you want adventure time stuff. tumblr probably the better place
its where i go for percy jackson stuff
tumblrs UI is just bad
i do use it
most of what i get is bo-katan x the armorer stuff tho which, to be fair i dont mind
it at least lets you filter out what you don't want to see though
fair fair
i feel like every time i mute an account on twitter i see 3 more accounts that are similar to that pop up in my feed
like i muted andrew tate and 3 of his chud friends started showing up on my timeline every day preaching the same shit he was
i'm like 90% twitter actaully just randomly unblocks and mutes accounts after a few days. because i've done that with multiple accounts and they always pop back up after a few days or weeks
yeah dude i muted elon musk and he genuinely unmuted automatically the next day
actually the worst
it hasn't happened with the big accounts yet. but it doesn't stop annoying gimmick accounts and actual nazis from popping back up 💀
literally is so fucking dumb
its only the ones i dont wanna see too
like someone im following? havent seen one of their tweets in months.
LITERAL NAZI? see his tweets every other day
its like what 😭
There are literal news sites for movie information
Imagine relying on Twitter for news
its just really fast
I miss the good ol days where you’d get news from a pigeon days later
like discord is proof that most people get their news first and foremost from it, like almost any movie announcement is slapped on twitter and then spread like wildfire
lmaoo
like 99% of the time i learn something its from a tweet or someone posting a tweet
i mean like
learn something about a film
yeah normally twitter gets you this shit fast. but at this point i just have notifications on for accounts i care about and sometimes look for art
well i dont have twitter installed on my phone, just use it in on my pc
I've just settled for not getting news at this point
“discord is proof that” no way are u using discord as a sample for the general population
we are brainrotted ne’er-do-goods
Lmao was just about to say
“Reddit is proof that”
“YouTube comments are proof that”
I think normal people tend to get their news from that news tab google puts on everyone's phone
yeah you're right i'll just go outside to talk my elderly neighbor about Ahsoka only on Disney+
I just get my news from HelloGreedo
So sometimes I don’t know about things until months or years later
not using it as a sample for the general popultion, just film-obsessed virgin losers like us
who may i point out, are on discord right now
lmaoo
HG News Network, the only source of information you can trust to eventually get you info years later and only half understanding what exactly is going on
Lmaooo
I can just imagine him sitting at a news desk, holding a stack of papers that are actually blank
does she blow people up on a desert island or something?
Frankly I liked she's a completely irredeemable asshole, no sob story. Even when living in the apocalyptic world she was always out to screw everyone else.
We don't know much of her train of thought only because she's always seen from the PoV of other people in her tribe, even when it seems she's trying to help her tribe it always comes out she was out for herself when the other shoe drops.
same my issue with phasma is that it cant stretch its legs because its a tie-in novel
but i thought it was a pretty decent book for being a tie-in novel
thats the issue with canon, like 80% of it is tie-in material that is sub-par
thats why comics like aphra and the entire high republic era are so good because they can just go off and tell their own stories, their own characters
i implore you guys to read the alphabet squadron trilogy, everyone brushes it off like "ripoff rogue squadron" when its not even like similar at all aside from them being pilots, thats where the similarities start and end
its soooo good
only like 2 returning characters that are generals in the new republic, the rest is an original cast with unique motivations and personalities
i feel like most people ignore the canon books because when canon first started all the books where sub-par tie-in novels
but as its branched out the stories that stand on their own are AMAZING
Not having read Rogue Squadron, I didn’t have those comparisons in mind, and yet I found it difficult to care about much of the characters and situations in Alphabet Squadron
The High Republic really does come in clutch though
Doctor Aphra feels hit and miss at times. It’s easy for me to forget what the overall storyline going on is when reading the issues month to month, but the series is worth it at least for the stuff it does add to the franchise
I’m just tired of the Tagge family
How dare you dox me
i just dont get how you couldnt be invested, ig it just didnt hook everyone like it did me
I really love the main characters and the first book is a bit of a slow burn but if you didnt read the second or third book i encourage you too
they're amazing
like better than the first one
the first one is basically setup for the second and third books
trilogy fucks hard
Ahsoka becoming Ahsoka the White is like if Gandalf became Gandalf the White because he didn't throw Pippin down the well in Moria instead of defending the company from the Balrog
I read all three Alphabet books and got less invested with each one
Wait what?
I’m still not sure what people want when they say Ahsoka the White is the way to go
she literally just changed from gray to white after a rebirth, thats where the narrative similarities begin and end
and people are like "OMG IT PARALELLS GANDALFS ARC" when its just very surface level
lmao
Yeah like…this already happened with her “Moria moment” being on Malachor
And then Dave Spaghetti rolled back the clock to do it all over again
yeah except instead of ezra saving her from death its anakin
i love seeing the same story over and over its my favorite
Like what’s so great about Gandalf the White’s arc that needs to be added to Ahsoka?
Him essentially seeming invincible?
Because Ahsoka already seemed like that when Rebels ended
exactly its so weird to me
she already became ahsoka the white but dave was like "hurm i dont really like how i did that so ima do it again"
like bro 😭
And people be like “OMG she’s Gandalf now” Like, no shit.
Dave literally said this. You don’t need to regurgitate it
I think what's interesting is that Gandalf didn't really have an arc per say. He sacrificed himself and then was reborn sure, but that wasn't really a character change. It was more just a sequence of events, he was always a hero putting himself of the front lines. He was rewarded for it and became stronger, but here it feels like it's being passed off as some arc for Ahsoka but I don't really know what it is.
Gandalf’s rebirth was just Tolkien’s version of Jesus
yeah gandalf doesnt have an arc, its pretty much just a promotion in the wake of saruman becoming evil and the valar being like shit this guy’s still good lol
Could actually say Gandalf, Frodo, and Aragorn are all that
ahsoka is like jesus
So was Anakin
omg
But with the killing added into the mix lol
anakin is like jesus but also lucifer but also dick cheney but also
palpatine is nixon but also bush but also satan but also but but also he but also
obri wong
Nute Gunray is Ronald Reagan and Newt Geingrich or however you spell it
the issue is
Gandalf isnt the main character of LOTR
he isnt really a character persay alot of the time hes more of a force for good and a force of the gods
but ahsoka is the main character of this show
ahsoka’s gandalf-esque transformation couldve been a fun nod with actual character attached
but there isnt really a transition in how she acts or what she believes
so making her into gandalf just makes her boring because gandalf isnt supposed to be a fucking main character, hes a supporting character for a reason
like yeah she was like. smiling a bit more idk
I guess it’s trying to be like “What if…Gandalf was the main character?”
but at the beginning of ep 6 shes saying the same shit ab sabine being irresponsible. which is true but its framed as “well what about ezra” which like. bruh. okay
what actually changed
There's a really interesting concept about letting go of the past and accepting your role in the future that you could draw parallels with Thrawn and really a lot of different elements of Star Wars lore, but no one's really moving on.
thrawn as ahsoka’s ‘nemesis’ in this show had so much potential but they straight up just had him like “uhhh pull up her file” if they just have him like dangle bits of her past in front of her in some final showdown after he read a wookieepedia page i’ll be disappointed lol
I think Filoni trying Tolkien parallels is just his way of trying to be Lucas
“Look! I read and watch stuff too! Just like Georgie boy!”
eh idk i think hes just a nerd lol. it just couldve been implemented better
i dont see the gandalf stuff in particular as a weird parallel, just a little nod that wasnt actually backed by much change in character
Thing is
Filoni made such a big deal about her being Gandalf
And because of that some fans have clung to it and have this “wow mind blown” attitude I can’t really explain
It would’ve been fine if he just never made a big deal talking about it much
Then it would’ve just played out onscreen
“If you read ____ by Tolkien you’ll understand” or whatever he said
And of course there’s Bendu being Treebeard and Tom Bombadil
did he make a big deal out of it? all i know ab was a little sketch he made with gandalf and ahsoka
if thats all there was in the way of setup it doesnt really strike me as this big thing that was hyped up
There's a lot in theory you could've done with these two characters, even as early as Rebels. Both remnants of the Old Republic that operated in a system that only valued them when they played by the rules and not for who they were. Both with relations to Vader if you create a connection between him and Thrawn in the Empire. Both struggling to operate without that structure and ending up continuing their roles as soldiers until both of their causes end and they have nowhere to go. Both desperate to prove themselves but unable to admit that they've demonstrated they don't need to prove themselves to anyone anymore. Yet one takes that as a sign he should rule, but still falls for the belief that nothing exists beyond the expectations of his masters (in this case Palaptine's vision of the Empire) while Ahsoka could in turn struggle to teach like a proper master and instead realize she doesn't need to live her life how they expected and that that's what destroyed Anakin.
It does give big
vibes with how the fans reacted to it
frankly i think if there was gonna be a big deal made about ahsoka having a big character transformation and becoming “ahsoka the white,” they shouldve adapted that rebels ending scene w sabine at the mural and ahsoka w the staff like way later in the show after ahsoka actually undergoes some particular character development
it just feels weird that 1. they kinda soft retconned it with her being in this drab grey outfit and 2. ahsoka’s “arc” in her own show is basically over the course of one episode and its not even clear what it actually is
anyways im gonna listen to the score and take a nap bc kevin kiner popped his pussy
New episode tonight so we can talk some shit
Lowkey forgor that was tonight
new format
me talking about my dad
My parents, casual Star Wars viewers compared to us, and even they laugh at and make fun of The Book of Boba Fett for not being its own thing.
“Do you miss the old days?”
So y'all in 3
I'M LATE
Omg they fucked up this cut in the beginning
BAD EDITING
Show ruined
😡
OMG Gold Shitto is back
Show good again
Bro sabine went straight for shin neck in that fight
Slay queen
I do kinda wonder how they'll wrap things up next week. Like the episode better be long as fuck
Was not expecting this Hayden hologram. But Rebels set a precedent for it so it makes sense
I do kinda feel like the shows falling back into the issue rebels had with thrawn though. But he's still about as good as he was back then
Anyway, liked the episode. Kinda wish there was a bit more interactions between characters and some more plot progression. But they've set some groundworks for the finale and all that
Holy fuck a minefield
A MINE
This is like the MINES of Moria OMG
Lord of the Rings moment omggggg
This actor sounds so much like Ezra, just older
this episode reminded me of the last 40 minutes of rogue one
like that was some fun star wars action that made me smile but i dont really care about the plot that much and it doesnt make the rest of the show better
but i liked it
it was fun
the minefield scene gave me major ESB vibes
"YOU JUST HAD TO SAY SOMETHING"
"I WAS BEING OPTIMISTIC" sounded straight outta cheesy 80s star wars
i liked it
This sequence with the riders is giving me Warg attack in The Two Towers vibes
Which in that movie is so filler
But here it’s better
and i cant believe im gonna call a CAMEO "restrained" but theres a part where hera is getting court-marshalled and motherfucking C-3PO comes out to say that Leia said she sanctioned the mission, thank fucking god CGI Leia didnt come out and say it herself holy fuck
Does anyone who speaks Japanese know if the crab guys are speaking actual sentences or just kinda gibberish?
The music feels like it’s trying to@emulate the horn of Rohan
we are now left with 1 episode left
and we still dont fucking know
baylans motivation
god you’re fucking right
They brought back Ahsoka theme!
but he has a wolf name so i guess its okay
LOOK AT THE HAYDAN HOLOGRAM GUYS
didnt spend enough of the show on fanservice already lets get some more in there
Did Ahsoka just kinda have a Legolas skateboard moment?
I have a HORRIBLE sinking feeling that baylans story and this story in general end on a cliffhanger this season
and with Ray dead they are backed into a corner just like Leia in TROS
because 7 episodes have passed and it feels like the events of this story could have been 4, maybe even 3 episodes
its okay to take your time with a story to TELL THE STORY
but we've had 7 episodes and i still feel like im missing basic fucking building blocks of a story
WHY DID AHSOKA TRAIN SABINE
WE GET MORE TEASES ABOUT IT
STILL NO ANSWERS
are they gonna shove EVERYTHING in the finale? or are they gonna reveal the main villains motivations in season 2 when the actor is dead?
so much time has been wasted
SHIN IS WORMTONGUE CONFIRMED?!?!
Ok now I can finally read whatever y’all have already said
I honest to HG think this is my favorite episode so far
This was peak Star Wars
3P0♥️
why
the line between mcu shows and star wars show is blurring and i don’t like that
its not blurring its already blurred completely
funnily enough autocorrect tried to make mcu spell as mcdonald’s and if that ain’t the damn truth at this point
they've mcuified this section of star wars, they have since bobf with that 2 episodes of mando bullshit
this is just a continuation of that
dude say less
This was swashbuckling and also showed great character moments
i really liked this episode but luna is speaking the truth
Ezra not relying on lightsabers holy fuck. That’s how Yoda should have been by the time of the prequels
I just feel like this show could be spent on, idk, characterizing the characters?? I mean this episode had fun action and afew cheeky moments between characters but
did we really LEARN anything?
Relying on a weapon if you’re a Jedi is weird as fuck
that i will admit is dope as fuck
i feel like outside of "it looked cool" or "it was cool" i have nothing DEEPER to say
like where is the depth of this show
all the characters just kinda go from point A to point B, talk about what they are going to do and then do it
it... reminds me of the prequels alot actually
like theres a base story that i understand, but none of the characters can actually express how they are feeling or tell the audidence how they feel about things, and when we do its always something really small that gets cut off by ACTION SCENE or something else
Nah I thought this felt deeper than the prequels
Ehhh
I can’t really explain it but I felt like I was feeling and seeing the Force
I mean the prequels have this underlying story about how greed and possesion can currupt a person and turn them into a monster that destroys the very thing they wanted to protect in the first place
whats the underlying story of this
Ahsoka has to learn to... uh
not be depressed and teach someone? is that the lesson?
again we still
dont know
why shes even training sabine
or what their relationship is
we know NOTHING about their history
their falling out
NOTHING.
other than ahsoka "could finish her training" and "pushed her away"
like that doesnt really TELL us anything
also thrawn is like "Let her choose her own path and we will make a box around her" and im thinking oh hes gonna do some heckin sweet battle tactics and sneaky shit
nope
he just gets the witches to DOXX ahsoka and have her be shot at
he acts like hes got this eleborate plan and hes so much smarter when hes literally just doing the most generic bad guy shit ever, like why did he go on the whole speach about letting her cause her own destruction when he was just gonna us fucking MAGIC.
Xanatos gambit: he did actually try to kill her just in case he managed it but still knew that potentialy he couldn't do it so set it up so it would drag her and her friends into a fight regardless to give the Chimaera time to load all the stuff.
Like Xanatos from Gargoyles
i mean yeah thrawn always doing this shit but
His main objective was keeping the space wizards away from the Chimaera, the rest was a "nice to have".
I just think it was kinda weird that he pulled his fighters off in the first place, or did the magid DOXX, he could have just waited for her to leave the field and continued his persuit then, they seemed to have a scan of the entire field
like it just seemed like they wanted to show the nightsisters doing something this episode
lmfaoo
cause if you think about it
him forcing ahsoka OUT of the debris field actually makes him LOSE time
cause shes reunited with sabine quicker, if he waited for her to leave on her own it would have bought him more time cause she still would have gone for sabine
He pulled them off because he knew they'd just die in the debris, better doxx her and fire with the artillery as not to waste too many forces.
i suppose that part makes sense but
why not just wait for ahsoka to leave the field on her own and persue her after
even if he DOXXed her to find out where she was hiding, forcing her out of the field just makes thrawn lose time
Because they had to light a fire under her ass so she wouldn't think to hard and possibly conclude that Sabine could take care for herself for a bit while she went and paid a visit to the Chimaera.
[note: it's not necessarily a likely possibility but Thrawn doesn't necessarily understand that]
seems like an unnessasary risk, also relies on thrawn assuming ahsoka would come to that conclusion, especially him thinking ahsoka has no idea if sabine is okay or not
just seems like a stretch imo but im nitpicking mostly
again this episodes action was fun
im just failing to see the deeper meaning to it all
I always thought “This weapon is your life” was weird as fuck
Zahn himself said that Thrawn gambles a lot, he made a gamble even if calculated.
i just think the benifit of the gamble vastly outweighs the cost but thats just me, plus thrawn is in his 70s so man might not give as much of a fuck anymore lmaoo
hes like fuck it we ball
He even says "the Force is my ally" which is Yoda's line
He is tired of the cycle constantly repeating and heard about something on Peridea that can stop that cycle, which we'll presumably learn next week.
He did all of this to get to Peridea
What's the problem?
It's not going to be, there's clearly a season 2 in mind here, expect a cliffhanger
He's like that all the time, when he was among his people he often got in trouble precisely because he often made huge dangerous decisions that hinged on his educated guesses. He was also very good at them but his enemies were in part right in that he often took huge risks and one time he actually got it wrong when evaluating the mentality of a species. it wasn't exactly a defeat per se but the outcome he had was undesired and the Chiss politicians weren't pleased.
Really curious to see what Dave Villainy has in mind for the season finale
Also apparently lightsabers are back in Fortnite
Ironic given tonight’s episode lmao
Also note: "I gave it to you, it's yours"
Tbh Star Wars would be so much more interesting if all force users stopped using lightsabers altogether
I can see jedi using lightsabers less in the post-sequel era since Ilum is gone and kyber being rare and expensive. When the order was mooching off the republic every jedi could get a lightsaber, now they have to go on their quest and finding one is not guaranteed.
Oh wow I didn’t even think of that
Loved this episode, 10/10, peak fiction as always♥️♥️♥️
It did occur to me that it could retroactively give another meaning to Rey burying the Skywalker twins’ lightsabers
The way they let Shin go very much reminded me of Grima Wormtongue
I guarantee there will be consequences
I don't really get the problem with thrawn's tactics
His main goal is to pack up and leave right?
"Mom, can we get Borsk Feyl'lya?"
"No Honey, we have Borsk Feyl'lya at home"
Borsk Feyl'lya at home:
No idea what Xiono's problem is
They just really don’t wanna show what Bothans look like in canon
Ezra: "The force is my ally."
Also Ezra 10 seconds later:
#Ahsoka
1256
150
Didn't he survive IIRC?
Yeah and I wish he didn’t
That would’ve been peak
Kazuda might be a lethal klutz out of the cockpit but his heart is in the right place.
Guess we just have to stand up to our own parents instead
On one hand I feel like the new republic sucks plotline was wrapped up too cleanly, but on the other hand I didn't want to see it go further
I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this sort of thing
Also is it just me or did Anakin look more real as a hologram than as the Force vision thingy?
In Resistance it was heavily implied he had connections in the First Order. Dude was conveniently not on Hosnian Prime when it was destroyed
Xiono is likely just trying to cover for the Imperial Remnant
I never got that
Just thought it was Disney XD being Disney XD
Like a repeat of what happened with Sabine’s mom on Rebels
(Which given what is said to have happened since then might as well have happened there anyway)
I think it’s more interesting if Xiono is just an ignorant denier
Fun episode but the story felt very loose, mostly just a lot of action to force the characters from A to B. They'll have to wrap up a lot in the next episode, hopefully they stick the landing
Just finished watching Episode 7.This episode is very good and very exciting. This time, I like the storyline, plot, and subplot. It was great to see Ezra fighting Thrawn's troops without using a lightsaber, as well as the touching meeting between Tano and Ezra.
How did Thrawn know about Anakin Skywalker? Have they met before?
Yus
he met Anakin and Vader seperately, and through observation figured out they were the same person
Thrawn Alliances if you wanna read it, the audiobook is v good too
I listened to all the Thrawn books as audiobooks because I like how Marc Thompson emulates Lars’ accent
fr sounds almost exactly the same tbqh lmfao
I didn’t really like the Ascendency trilogy as much as the first canon trilogy tbh. Not sure if that’s a hot take
idk ascendency was kinda hard to get through
i havent finished the first one yet lmaoo
I will read Thrawn Alliance.
too busy reading PEAK STAR WARS LITERATURE aka The High Republic
👏 its the best of the canon thrawn books imo
im sure it'll be back with phase 3 once the timeline is back to normal
phase 2 is a prequel phase and the nihil arnt around yet so
I think Alliances is my least favorite of its trilogy because of the cutting back and forth and constant mention of “DOUBLE VISION” in an overly dramatic way
Do you think Leia Organa will appear in the next episode? I strongly disagree with Senator Xiano's opinion. He doesn't seem to be familiar with the details of the Jedi.
lmfaoo that is pretty funny
"DOUBLE VISION!!"
its an anime
also yeah the pacing could be better
i just like thrawn and anakins dynamic, aswell as thrawn and vaders
I hope Dave Villainy has the sense to recast Leia without CGI goofiness
i doubt it, i think filoni sending 3PO was him showing restraint in using CGI deepfake actors
at least
i hope
I think I just preferred Thrawn’s dynamic with Eli Vanto
I was kinda surprised how normal it felt to just have Threepio show up and then Anakin as a hologram
Anakin as a hologram felt kiiiinda forced imo, i mean we already got episode 5 full of that kinda stuff. Maybe if she was shown training with it before she ran into him in the WBW it woulda made that stuff more impactful? idk maybe im crazy
also threepio being there didnt bother me as much as i woulda guessed
I think it helps that Threepio was just in the background of Obi-Wan Kenobi
yeah that and R2 in mando
those two can kinda pop in wherever and its USAULLY fine
honestly the worst one is rogue one cause they're not even there except for like, a reaction shot
lmaoo
they dont even do anything its literally just "HEY LOOK ITS R2 AND 3PO!!"
That shot also made some think there’s a continuity error
When in actuality they get on the ship shortly after
It wasn’t as bad as the Ponda Baba and Dr Evazan cameo tho
yeah i mean id assume leia was on yavin and right after that was like "alrighty everyone get on the ship"
Like literally WHO FUCKIN ASKED
The Aphra comics did something interesting with that but goddam
literally
im almost done with the books of phase 2 of the high republic which means i can hop to the comics soon 😎
whilst i wait for phase 3 to start
I think I just need to read the short story collection
And maybe a manga?
I’d have to check my Goodreads
i havent read EVERYTHING
just the main adult novels, most of the young adult novels, 2 of the audiodramas and the comics of phase 1
Are there more than two audio dramas?
im in the middle of Cataclysm
yeah i think theres another in phase 1?
Oh I thought there was just the one
i've listened to tempest runner and battle of jehda
tempest runner
Just finished the episode, yeah I agree with what people have said here lots of good action but little plot progression, man I hope the finale ain't rushed as hell. Main highlight of the episode was Ezra not taking the lightsaber, so badass, "The force is my ally" YES KING
Ezra: "The force is my ally."
Also Ezra 10 seconds later:
#Ahsoka
2800
288
lmfaoo
Also I find it a little odd that we didn't just get Sabine telling Ezra how she got to Peridea in this episode
it bothers me that we still dont know why ahsoka trained sabine
Thought that was like a given
like ezra even asks and they just tease a vague answer and dont answer it
i feel like this is most of the show
just vague answers
like with baylan he says "I want to break the cycle" but like, how? how did he know there was something here cause hes just like "I sense something".
Im sure there are answers to these questions but its alot to shove into a finale ontop of everything
If this were David Lynch there would be no answers lmao
Also imagine if Ahsoka and Huyang were just taken somewhere else lmao
Not weird at all
You don't dismiss anything that can give you an edge in battle
You're praising Ezra for not using one, but that very decision gets him body slammed mid battle
the laugh ahsoka let out after hugging ezra
another banger episode but i will say im a bit confused about why Baylan left Shin on her own like that.
Baylan and Shin up until now have felt like they had such a close relationship and bond, but here they both seemed so quick to just seperate for not much reason from what I can tell.
This man watched Star Wars Rebels with his eyes closed and on mute #Ahsoka #EzraBridger
2796

never change
this is the funniest clip he's put out in a long time
Thats definitely not Ezra Miller. I’d bet a million dollars on that.
A million? I’d bet on the entire budget of the Flash movie
I wanna keep myself humble and not get corrupted by wealth like in that one movie
Would it surprise you to know that the tweeter is actually a she

Omg y’all Ben Kenobi dying on the Death Star is his Moria moment and he came back as ghost Kenobi the White!!! Oh em gee gee gee gee gee!!!!! Kenobi is Gandalf confirmed!
lmfaoo
i feel like everyone is like "omg LOTR parallels!" And they're always very surface level. Like ahsoka getting her new robes, the wolf guys looking the the wargs, and the nightsister temple people keeping pointing at like "it looks like Minas Tirith!" But outside of surface level appearence I see almost no thematic tie ins to the actual themes of LOTR and the themes of Ahsoka, I feel like dave should have never said "oh shes gandalf" cause now its just like "OMG GUYS ITS LORD OF THE RINGS BUT WITHOUT ANY OF THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT OR DEEPER THEMES BUT ITS IN STAR WARS SO ITS AMAZING"
its like the prequel defenders with the whole "its like poetry" thing, like just cause its trying to parallels something else doesnt mean its good or that the creator understands the content they are trying to draw paralells too lmaoo
its like a kid watched LOTR and saw all the surface level action stuff and thats all they got out of it
and if this wasnt intentional
like if the only paralell filoni intended was ahsoka the white, whilst that is still not a very good paralell thats not nearly as bad, im hoping that all this "LOTR symbolism" that isnt really deep at all and just surface level appearance is just the audience being like "oh hey this kinda looks like this" which is neat
but if this is all intentional it makes me think Filoni didnt understand LOTR
again tho, this could all just be the fans pointing out unintentional similarities lmao
Even if he hadn’t said it it was pretty obvious in Twilight of the Apprentice
Maul being a Gollum motherfucker
yeah in rebels the LOTR stuff makes sense thematically some of the time
like ahsokas death and rebirth in REBELS is waaaaaaay closer to gandalfs death and rebirth in LOTR
i dont get why filoni is repeating the same story but worse 😭
But yeah it feels like Dave Villainy made a D&D campaign with TLOTR references to make the other players lol
yeah this feels like a star wars D&D campaign thats actually a great way of describing it
like where theres no thematic meaning to anything its just players running around doing stuff in a world full of faceless bad guys and going from point A to B
i feel like all the character development in this show is done by long glances and vague talking in fight scenes
it feels like a bunch of friends running around fucking around lmaoo
like sabine when ahsoka comes back and is like "you're alive? omg"
my new headcanon is the plot of this show is taken from a D&D campeign Filoni and favrua did
Honestly any movie or series’ shortcomings can be brushed off if you pretend it’s just a D&D campaign lmao
Honor Among Thieves changed cinema forever
lmfaoo
but its not a D&D campeign tho, its a high budget show of the most successful film franchise in the world
im tired of star wars feeling like two nerds bashing action figures against eachother
TROS, Mando s3, some of book of boba fett, obi-wan
like these are all made by huge star wars fans and if you watch the behind the scenes they are always like "OMG I LOVE STAR WARS SOOO MUCH YOU GUYS IT MEANS SOOO MUCH TO ME ITS SOOO MEANINGFUL THAT I GET TO MAKE SOMETHING IN THIS UNIVERSE" deadass in the behind the scenes of mando s3 filoni said it felt like playing with action figures
stop letting star wars fans make star wars
or at least get some fresh faces in there with the star wars fans
cause this isnt fucking working
Andor is amazing because the guy who wrote it didnt go out to write a star wars story, he went out to write an emotional investing poltical thriller that just HAPPENED to be in star wars
a good star wars story should stand on its own and work as a story even taken out of the universe imho
like if you rework the plot elements of ANH you can tell almost the exact same story but with a different framing device
thats a sign of good storytelling
This is why Andor feels the least like a D&D campaign
It’s made by someone who is not a super fan
and obviously its not BAD when a show plays into the universe its apart of
but you can rely on everything that came before to tell your story for you
exactly
Rian Johnston likes star wars sure but hes more of a creative visionary and he wanted to do something unique
vs JJ Abrams who loves the OT with all his heart and is a massive star wars fan... mf brought back palpatine
Fans have this preconceived idea of star wars and its universe in their heads that taint the writing of a show
I actually think Rian is also a super fan but in a different way
Seems to like the prequels to an extent
He succeeded at making something unique, but I still think he didn’t know how to write the Resistance storyline, personally
But he did use D&D limitations to make it so that there’s a price to Luke doing force project (a power which he seemed to have pulled from the Dark Empire comic)
Counter theory: ezra was never real
Senator Xiono called C-3PO a “mere droid” and Chopper was ready to send him to the upper room lmao. #Ahsoka
3547
325
chopper said "what the fuck"
for sure
"Wasn't that the butler droid with the foul-mouthed R2 unit on Lothal!?"
I love ezra lol
All cocksure he's gonna wreck up shop without a lightsaber. Using only the force to do sick monk hand to hand shit.
Then when he sees a stormtrooper:
lmfaooo
Ezra: "The force is my ally."
Used Force Karate
Also Ezra 10 seconds later:
#Ahsoka #Ezra #TanoTuesday
1417
Ezra's like hur dur, I conveniently forgot the kyber in lightsabers enhances one's connection the Force and amps my powers 💀
Even if he didn't want to use it, just having it on your person makes you more powerful
i thought it was cool he didnt use a lightsaber but yeah the movies & shows dont seem to care about the sacred bond between a jedi and their krystal like the games and books do
i think the reason obi-wan got really mad at anakin for loosing/breaking his all the time is cause he probably kept having to bond with a new crystal every time depending on how badly the saber was damaged
which considering its a SACRED RIGHT to pick out a specific kyber cystal, the fact anakin did it multiple times probably made obi-wan very upset on a spiritual level, which plays into anakin in AOTC not taking how sacred being a jedi is seriously
It's no wonder his son turned out such a scatterbrain when his dad constantly changes points mid argument
Directionless parenting
We were too harsh to Kaz
lmfaoo
His father was a racist dipshit and he still turned out alright
I still choose to believe that xiono actually was a first order plant, which is why he wasn't on hosnian prime when it got fucked
Probably not a plant, but a sympathiser
Very believable now
I kinda like how Ezra is like TLJ luke but not depressed lmaooo
Who were the two factions competing in parliament again?
There was the ex-Imperial one and the other
Ah, The Centrists were all Imperial sympathisers, centralised power and The Populists were all sovereignty and decentralised power
Episode watched
First new republic scene reminded me why I hate Star Wars politics. There's always gotta be some arbitrary "bad politician" who is against the hero for somewhat sound reasons that the show plays off as being evil because we as the audience know better. And then they'll be like "oh actually he worked with the empire or something and that's why he was a dick" instead of any way showing some semblance of unique motivations or grounded political conflict.
this guy doesnt work with the empire though, hes the father of a character from resistance lol
but i get you're point
theres always gotta be one guy opposing for the sake of it, no real reason for their motives
Lucasfilm making a politician character who has differing opinions to the heroes but isn't a bad guy challenge: Impossible.
lmfaoo
Nah fr? That's hilarious, they really couldn't help themselves
and its not even like in heir to the empire where its thrawn like, intentionally sewing distrust and making good politicians believe bad things
even though filoni is CLEARLY trying to emulate the political stuff from that trilogy
Also we know Thrawn isn't actually a threat. Or if he is it doesn't matter in the end.
^
okay you say this but like
this is also real life politics

It isn't though
well not the latter part
point being there are clearly just absolutely evil politicians
irl
sometimes they disagree just to disagree but they usually have motives for doing it like, being paid off by someone or their alligence lies with a certain demographic etc.
for sure
blatantly so but people just turn a blind eye to it
People don't turn a blind eye to it though
Everyone thinks there's just evil politicians, that's why all media portrays it like that
difference being you know this is fiction cause they try and give these characters actual motivation for being evil
but the fact we KNOW this guy is literally just a regular dude with no alterior motives, just makes him seem really fucking stupid
But the truth is there's a systematic reason for people with very broad hateful messages ending up in positions of power
what motive? thats literally the complaint
i mean in general
evil politicians in star wars like you said usually have a sympathetic air to them like "oh they're just blind to the truth until such and such"
when in reality no these people are just racists and stupid
The reason people don't elect better officials is cause the barrier for running for office is limited by money and exposure which is only gained when you're part of the ruling class as it is.
And when they do try to elect better people they operate in a system where the only power they have is negotiation with those with money and influence, causing them to conceded half their stances in order to keep things functioning.
it just kinda feels like narratively he's only here to give hera something to do 😬
before we start critiquing star wars for its unrealistic politics lets not forget that a guy who's face looks like a literal demon who talks like a psychopath and cackles like an evil dictator won over the entire senate by making the most evil sounding speech known to man.
This is one of the stupidest conversations on this server
Palpatine's speech in Bad Batch > Episode 3
like its not that i dont believe there are people who dont believe thrawn is coming back, but he has yet to state any reasons why believing that thrawn IS coming back is bad, and why we shouldnt focus on that. Even shitty politicians have justifications for the point they are pushing, no matter how bad those justifications are
ngl
this guy is just like "I dont believe you :P"
we can go stupider
just cause there are more shitty poltics examples doesnt make this one okay lmao
just cause X is bad doesnt mean Y is good
I don't know who is elected in Star Wars, or why, or by who, or how any of that works. If there was even just a hint of that, like say in a New Hope when Tarkin said "we're eliminating the senators and appointing regional governors." It's not so drawn out that it's endless political discussion, but it's enough to go off that you can see how they're consolidating power and removing direct representation.
so then you just dont like star wars politics
lmao
which is fine
read a book if you wanna learn
but the prequels did set the "standard" for how it works
no i dont like badly done politics in star wars
So write it better later lol
so you dont like politics in star wars

Andor I guess isn't star wars
believe it or not, just cause politics suck under one writer doesnt mean they cant be written better lmfaoooo
Andor, The High Republic, The Clone Wars
i could go on
if you want
Again ANH, ESB, both the literal first two projects
If anything had set the standard
Andor was a lot of internal politics within the empire rather than being opposing sides. It's not quite the same topic
ehh the OT was very light on the politics
andor was good yeah but it wasn't tackling political discourse, but more political unrest
internal stuff
People always say ANH didn't have politics but it presented it through the characters
my point is there just doesnt seem to be a point of this political discourse other than again, giving hera something to do
like again in Heir to the empire, the direct inspiration for this show, had the poltical scenes be thrawn sewing distrust intentionall to throw the new republic off their game
It's less a plotpoint and more a distraction
yeah but things should have a narrative point to them other than "shit we need hera to do soemthing"
maybe it does
You could've had a line saying "hera is dealing with unrest on a planet over here something something" and it would've been an equal plotpoint that would've justified her not being around
we havent seen where it leads yet
like if you're making a scene just so you can give a character something to do, clearly that character isnt that important to the narrative
maybe it is
there is
The next episode is the last one isn't it?
the show isn't over and we know there's more story coming later
i cant with you lmao
its always "hey can I get this basic plot point" and the response is always "DONT WORRY THEY'LL REVEAL IT LATER"
This is such a fucking nitpick, good god
yeah and they do
thats been 7 episodes straight

It's not nitpick it's a god damn discussion
LMAO do they tho
What's frustrating is laughing off and dismissing every comment under "that's not important"
No it’s reaching for a reason to hate something
It's not
but you're the one arguing this scene isn't important. When by all we know it could well be in either the next episode or a future plotpoint in this ongoing thrawn story.
maybe just let things be for a bit
let things happen and enjoy yourself
idk
No I'm arguing that the scene should probably feel important by now
but it just happened
It’s does, just not to you

It's been set up since when the guy showed up earlier in the hologram scene
"why does this scene that happened this episode not already have importance later on"
????
It's been the entire season of them going back and forth with Hera
And I don't know why other than I guess the guy's just a dick and we need to distract Hera
Why can't you let me think about the show's direction?
we stil dont know
- Why Ahsoka trained sabine
- What baylan is looking for
- What baylan means by breaking the cicle
- Why does Morgan want thrawn specifically
- What is up with the new republics hesistance
- What is thrawns plan? His motive in canon has been working with the empire to help the chiss, and now the empires gone ig hes just like "eh fuck it empire FTW"
These are things that are important for us to understand what characters are thinking and feeling, why they are doing what they are doing. And now since they've waited to reveal literally everything till the last episode, i have to go BACK with the new knowledge and rewatch the show with new eyes just to understand the FUCKING MAIN CHARACTERS MOTIVATION
do you guys NOT see the problem with that?
By all means think about the show's direction, but you can't critique something for having no point when the point hasn't been completed yet.
If it's been annoying me and not giving me a sense of direction and the show's felt half baked and there's one episode left, why is the default that I need to give it that last episode before I say anything negative?
like normally you learn what the main characters deal is
idk
before the halfway mark at least?
not even remotely
cause i have the autonomous ability to interpret and imagine as i watch
it's what makes it endearing and engaging
Then what's your interpretation?
There is a different between leaving things up for interpritation and literally just not telling a story
you can just say "oh its meant to be up for interpretation" to deflect all critism lmao
my interpretation of the political scene? That it's setting up internal conflict with the republic filled with imperial sympathisers to give thrawn more leeway when he starts making contact with the galaxy again.
but we KNOW that character isnt an imprial sympathiser
but i have criticisms with this episode too
That doesn't make any sense, the absence of a character motivation is something in the show
its okay to critisize a lack of something i'd imagine 😭
^^^
depends
It's a writing decision
like the political dude is a small example of a larger issue
Then what is it?
again i literally dont know any of the characters motivations other than ahsoka wants to stop thrawn and thrawn wants to be in the main galaxy to.. presumably attack the new republic?
idk we just met the dude. but clearly there's a motivation cause there was discourse within the established characters of the scene.
a conflict of ideals
We met him a few episodes ago
implies that there's opposing motivation
Who is this even about anymore?
Senator xioioioi idfk how to spell his name
Baylan has been standing around for 7 episodes being like "Hehehe im gonna find something im not gonna explain so i can do something im not gonna explain!"
i have no idea but apparently sabine and ezra have no character motivation

is mystery
Who said Sabine and Ezra?
Luna did just now
Hera broke protocol. He got mad. It’s not that deep
Sabine wants to find ezra and ezra wants to go home? again still havent explained why sabine trained in the first place, and again i feel the need to mention you dont know ANYTHING about ezra unless you've seen rebels
damn almost like its a sequel to rebels or something
which again its kind of INSANE for them to expect you to watch 11 seasons of animation to understand the plot of the mandalorian 😭

Then watch rebels ya pickle
I HAVE
mfw a show with an entire cast of rebels characters requires you to have watched rebels first
damn its almost like its a sequel to rebels and a tie in to the larger mandoverse™️ which has a large audience of casual fans who will fucking leave as soon as they see this shit
its getting high streaming numbers, acording to disney+ who are infamous for not realeasing accurate numbers
lmao
Guys tlj is terrible. I gotta watch 7 movies to know who the fuck these guys are
from all the stories i've heard it's made new viewers go back to watch clone wars and rebels more than not
There's being upset and then there's this foaming at the mouth "why is there a droid in here!!?!?!? don't listen to him!! this is absurd!!!!" Like it's not out of the question in terms of reaction, it just feels like an intentional ulterior motivations moment and if that's the case there should be context as to why. You're allowed to not read into it, but it's not a nitpick to think about the way a scene is written.
bruh fr
nielsen showed the premiere at number 5 on their chart
who tf is this darth sideous luke was talking about
I know people who watched TLJ and liked it who have never fucking seen the OT
and who is luke
which is rpetty good
You guys are strawmanning
I know people who watched mandalorian who loved it without seeing any extra star wars
we're not though
You literally are
STAR WARS IS THE MOST POPULAR FRANCHISE IN THE WORLD because its so accessible
Luna watched rebels
yeah but their argument is that people shouldn't have to watch rebels to understand a rebels sequel
They are alienating their audience just you guys wait and see
It's marketed as Ahsoka
i honestly can never follow what anyone is frustrated about in here
yes a clone wars character
Kaz' dad today
Why isnt it rebels season 5 than?? why is this important to the mandalorian storyline, a show that started as its own thing
the racist political dude
Look I can get into the annoying thing about the lack of standalone nature of star wars stories but at this point whatever
Its actually insane to me that people dont have a bigger issue with how you can only understand this show with insane levels of fan knowledge
because it's an MCUified long winded multifranchise narrative now.
I can't say I'm the biggest fan of it myself but its just what it is so im not gonna criticise it for being that when they made it clear from the very start thats what it was going to be.
The key word is “feels” you feel like it’s something else. But it’s not. Move on
i've had to explain to dozens of people at this point what the fuck nightsisters are and 90% of the time their reaction is "thats weird"
All I'm saying is that I don't have to drop my opinion because it's different than yours.
"go watch the cartoons ya doofus"
i say
No one has to call me a nitpicker
I agree people SHOULD watch those, if they want
but to think
No one has to say "you're just trying to hate things"
No one has to laugh off every statement
that it should be REQUIRED VIEWING to understand the ongoing MANDALORIAN plot is actual insanity
i mean when it's every week and all i see is negativity
its like MCU levels of "You gotta watch everything"
how am i supposed to respond when it's literally all i see in here from you two
Ignore it?
Listen and go "oh interesting take, I don't agree, but here's why"
Then quit saying “ummm just write better. Lol”
^ 😂
my bad i should just talk about how i love a show that im not enjoying, i should just go hop into a server with ONLY people that agree with me so i can be in a bubble and never have my opinions challenged
And why I'd rather see it that way
oh my god
yall need to relax. christ. its a show about magic and laser swords who gives a shit
Star Wars sucks
Obviously
lmfaoo
I say we all breath for a sec
i think the spaceships are cool
I like her ship too
i really love how they did it practically too
its not CG
like its got movable wings and all that
yeah its dope i was surprised too
love that
it'll never happen but i'd love her ship in TVC
would look really sick next to the ghost
i didnt even know they made a ghost in that series
well kenner actually isn't a company anymore lol. Hasbro makes them
i mainly collect black series so i wasnt familiar with the abbreviation
but hasbro also bought the kenner company so they could put the logo on boxes for the nostalgia
yeah i figured since they have exclusive action figure rights
makes sense lmaoo
yeah TVC and TBS always at war with each other
lol
i dabble in both
TVC is better for vehicles obviously
lmfao i like the smaller figures sometimes
yeah its also got like, alot of more obscure characters that dont have black series figs
like i have a Shea Viszla
yeah i have shae too
dooope
very old mold now but nice sculpt
heavily rumoured for TVC actually
loden i think was "leaked" but it's up in the air if it's true or not
i imagine reusing some parts from Revan or something.
yeah i dont doubt it
i hope we get unique molds and printed fabric though
the drip goes too hard not too
they probably have to gauge interest first. see if there's even a market for them yet and go from there.
so the first few figs would probably have reuse of other figures they have coming out atm
my guess is taht we'd get the three in the middle (blond girl, saberstaff girl and the trandoshan)
along with Elzar mann, Stellion Gios
probably Marchion Ro for a bad guy
Also kenobi was w/e for the most part but this 2pack they just announced
Marchion Ro yes please
I need daddy Ro in my collection
Is Vader really that taller?
recreate this iconic cover

Holy fuck, that’s scary
hes actually a sentient slime species who is like, in a human shaped suit so he can funtion in normal jedi ways
if you cut that open hed just be a puddle lmaoo
the drip 😭
the white and gold temple garb and the brown mission robes go so hard
I love that they gave Kelleran Beq some vintage high republic garb in his appearance
dripped tf out
ikr
honestly before the showed up in mando thats the era i would have assumed he lived in
i do like that he's canon now.
i mean we knew that like
he was canon but we didnt know what era he lived in and he wasnt in any stories so like
ah right
he was kinda half-canon
cause we knew he existed in universe just not when
im really glad they chose him for the grogue rescue
highlight of season 3 for me
overall was underwhelmed by S3 but that whole sequence was fantastic
first off just amazing for Ahmed Best, and second hes a teacher so it makes so much sense
yeah i didnt like s3 either
more of that action figure issue i said i have a problem with
which, they literally say in the behind the scenes is how writing this season felt so
i dont even hesitate saying that
like dave and john where like "man its so cool its like we're playing with action figures"
its like 😭 dont make your action figure storylines canon what are you doing
but there was stuff i liked in season 3
i liked the way mandalore looked
the idea of the different mandos having to put their differences aside and come together as a people is cool on paper but poorly done
in collecting circles though a big complaint of the oh-so beloved andor is that it's the least toyetic star wars product ever made lmao.
which is the opposite problem

i cant lie a big thing for me is seeing all the potentially cool new action figures and shit they can make
i'll take a narrative as good as andor even if there is a lack of figures any day
Phase 2 Purge Troopers are the sexiest thing I've ever seen so even if obi wan was kinda eh, they make up for it as a collector.

i mean fair, i see that more of a side bonus
narrative comes first
obviously
but yeah as a transformers fan i know the vibe
but again if i can take away a cool figure from a meh show i'll take solace in the small victory
like things gotta look cool so they'll make figures
Ned-B is a really good black series figure too
i hate how we only got 1 lego set for andor and it sucked
I get more upset cause cool design wasn't used well 😔
big swole bipedal Wall.e lookin ass
they didnt even use the one set on something cool
like they coulda done something from the aldahni heist, or the finale
star wars' legacy with the toy industry is almost as legendary as it's impact on the film industry. It sounds silly to the perspective of non-collectors but it's kind of nuts just how much sway star wars toys have had historically.
so to me it takes up a lot more relevance than most other merchandise
this is the most depressing thing ever that this is the one and only andor set we got
yea, plus kids didnt really watch it
at least they released a handful of black series figure
still personally offended they made a Vel and not Cinta
now this is that good shit 👏
Brightly coloured sick looking ships and a bunch of characters people actually want.
ahsoka is thankfully toyetic so that side of my fan-brain is satiated so far lmao
i will admit i've been eying that
E-wing made me pog, im not ammune to lizard brain
like im sorry if a single tie-defender shows up i take all my critism back the show is a 10/10
lmfaooo
there is no forgiving this fumble though wtf is this
TIE-Defender my beloved
I got that set for Christmas
good for spare parts
i guess i could make some good use of all the flat grey
i suppose yeah it would be good for that

hm
might look out for a sale after all
i'd use the gray pieces for a ship
