#Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3

Probably seeing it Sunday
Just got back
I can’t wait to watch it this weekend
Rocket continues to be my favourite to be one of my favourite guardians
||I'm really happy nobody died though and everybody just got a ending or have gone off on their own arc away from the guardians. It's a shame gunn probably won't be there to continues writing the guardians, but I do really want to see the ones that are left again soon||
||also really liked Adam, even though he's barely in the film||
that was amazing
i just realized why peter kept saying ||face-off||
hahaha

Man I really love the ending to the film
||also love the end roaster of the guardians being closer to the original team with rocket, groot and Adam warlock||
||also groot being closer to his original design and first guardians appearance||
yeah that’s what i noticed, i was was like “hey wait a minute that’s groot’s original design from the comics”
“But not yet” 🦦
Is no one gonna talk about the fact that THERE’S A TAPIR IN THE MOVIE??
i literally immediately thought of that when i saw the movie
You know it’s nice Gamora and Peter don’t get back together in this one
Totally expected them to go that route
Rip to Peter’s helmet though
Part of me kinda wishes they let Peter die. But also the Adam scene was really funny
i kind of expected them to not get back together given the themes of gunn’s previous movies
yeah i was gonna say, what happened to it? he never wears it throughout the entire film and it’s not like he lost it, also he would’ve definitely been fine at the scene where he almost died if he had the helmet
It almost seemed like they were near the end
I love it.
Glad no one died.
I thought Rocket Raccoon would die any second because of y’all.
So did we! Blame Gunn
speaking of, i had a massive smile on my face when rocket finally called himself "rocket raccoon"
This movie made me tear up when Rocket came back.
I legit thought he'd die.
The amount of times I thought something would happen for it to not was 🤌
honestly the second adam blasted rocket at the start i figured he wasn't going to die. since i didn't think gunn would fake us out by having the entire movie be about saving him only to properly kill him off at the end
i was concerned that nebula was going to die. since her staying behind to move the ship is a classic death moment
And then Peter Quill but Adam Warlock saved him.
you see, i thought that for a second. then i was like "oh yeah adam right there, he can just fly out and get him" and then he did
The helmet would have looked so good with his uniform too
i was really surprised by adam though, i wasn't 100% sold on the casting when it was announced. but he was great
It’s funny as shit because you play Jedi Survivor and forget he’s a real ass person at times and then see his actor on screen
it really would’ve
… that was the joke
Obviously pshhhh
I knew that
not a very good one
That’s actually funny how did I not know they were two different people
They look so alike.
In the end it wasn’t him dying that got me. It’s that he was so ready to be with her again. But it wasn’t his time
As good as this ending was you already know that they’ll be writing Starlord into Secret Wars
Definitely not the last time we will see these characters
The film literally ends with text saying "the legendary Star Lord will return" 💀💀💀
The good Ol Iron Man 3 effect
Great ending for the characters
Not going to be their story ending
In this universe you either die in a major sacrifice or get old enough to where you can’t superhero anymore
Can’t wait for the characters to get butchered when the other writers take over their arc
I mean, lucky all the remaining members arcs are largely finished
I wouldn’t be shocked if they make movies surrounding Rocket’s group
I would assume that’s what a gotg4 would be
i wonder if they would title it differently to make it clear that this is a new team
ah so the kid was phyla-vell. thought so
good to see that the new team is basically all founding members from the comics
also funny, since carol new costume in the marvels is based on her captain marvel costume
i assume they won't keep her as mar-vell daughter, since the time and backstory doesn't work for it
Who did Gunn’s wife play? I catch her in the credits
she plays the girl watching the security cameras during the scene when they infiltrate the flesh place
I know it’s been said before but it felt like everyone got their moment in this film
Also shit on Adam Warlock in this movie but his redemption was still a billon times better than Modok’s

At least Adam had an actual character
Chukwudi killed it has the High Evolutionary
I loved how menacing he could be
Just a real sinister mf
he does such a great job at playing an absolutely vile piece of shit
Man him and Ego are just the absolute worst
I will say the first act is definitely noticeably worse than the later two
Just very scattered
Thankfully the movie finds its pace
Kind of a flip reversal of the typical MCU status quo this past phase
Where it drags and scatters in an bit of a mess in the final act
Adam gonna have mommy issues now
Adam Warlock and his mom have this exact same energy
The Guardians suits looked really good in the movie
I didn’t think I’d care for the whole uniformed look
I’ve loved seeing Nebula’s character progression
She was fucking goat in this movie
It’s like Nebula and Gamora were in the opposite shoes of their first appearance
Gunn wanted this movie and it’s story to be a one and done kind of ordeal
Wrap up all the loose ends and stuff
Also when Peter was drunk and in bed I saw the stereo from the Milano
I think it was nice seeing Nebula smile and finally find fulfillment after all the torment she was put through by her father
Cosmo really flattened that dude like a mf pancake
Turned into a grilled cheese sandwich
Nah he’s spread butter now
I know James Gunn probably sighed when he saw Peter return to earth in Endgame before Vol 3
At least no one never mentioned it ever
Someone asked about that and he said Peter left earth asap after endgame
Peter did say he was running from earth
What the hell

Whole TV show of animal abuse
Also, not the first person to say this, but Karen Gillan has been stealthily giving one the very best performances of the entire MCU across the three GUARDIANS and the last two AVENGERS movies.
It felt really rewarding seeing all of the Guardians come together at the end in that hallway fight to free the remaining individuals on the ship
I can’t wait to rewatch that scene again
Saw the movie earlier, I’m really happy that Gunn subverted expectations and none of the Guardians died but yet still gave each of them such satisfying endings. I’m also really happy that Quill didn’t actually rekindle his love with new Gamora, makes Gamora’s death in Infinity war have weight again which I thought was kind of lost when she was brought back via time travel. I will say I wish that Quill’s time in the mcu was actually over, he’s already been in two of the big team up movies so they have that base covered but of course he’s gonna return, not a huge fan but I’ll see how they handle it I guess. I also personally hope that they don’t touch the new Guardians team till after Secret Wars, take the time to ensure they’ll be loved like the og team but I have a feeling they’ll be in one of these next Avengers movies
I’m gonna miss James Gunn’s energy within this sprawling universe but he went out on a high note

i mean, they'll probably be in kang dynasty. since thats leading directly into secret wars
and is where they'll shine the most. since secret wars is gonna have a fuck ton of characters

As much as a did like Adam in the film, I think he is kinda made worse by the fact we just got a really fucking good Adam warlock in the guardians game
GOTG Game Adam >>>>>> GOTG3 Adam
fucking giga chad adam warlock
honestly outside of rocket, i think the game has some of the best versions of the guardians
thinking about getting the lego set for the bowie. since its the only marvel set with adam 😔
even though i don't really like the set that much
like the ships cool. but they didn't really translate it well to lego
but also i think people forget adam originally had the mental age of a child when he was first introduced. it took him awhile to get to the point most people know him.

Goddamn Gunn knows how to do needle drop scenes well
The way he’s utilized music in these three films plus in The Suicide Squad have been brilliant
The way he puts music in anything is astounding
No Sleep Till Brooklyn coupled with the hallway scene was chef’s kiss
I could hear Vin Diesel so much
I kind of laughed when it happened ngl
I forgot about the rebels tbh.
Can't wait for nerds to start complaining about it.
Also I love how High Evolutionary's Utopia was portrayed, I thought it was like this
But it turned out into this
Like it's the most soulless and generic place ever.
Our editor @FredRaskin asked us, about two weeks into editing this scene, where the wires were. He didn’t realize this incredible effect by @LegacyEffects wasn’t actually @prattprattpratt. Our special effects & makeup teams put their hearts into this film like everyone else.… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1654919623085789185
Man recreated the Suburbs
i legit though it was an actual screenshot of the film for a second until i noticed the watermark
I wouldn't blame you, I just looked up "generic American neighborhood"
LOL
I’m not gonna lie, if James who I know loves using villains that aren’t iconic enough or are overlooked or in general obscure, couldn’t find one Superman villain that isn’t Lex Luthor or General Zod. I’m not gonna have my hopes up.
I like how this movie knew the right balance between humor and serious moments
That was something the second film struggled with at times
Such as Ego randomly turning into Hasselhoff in the middle of a very serious scene
But in this film those darker moments are kept pretty consistent without much interruption
Yeah this is very in line with the first film which handled the different tones well
The main thing for me is Superman himself, I want the perception of the character to go back to what it was before Snyder. If the film can nail that, I’ll be content no matter the villain
I mean I agree with the Superman thing but in my opinion, the villain matters as much as the superhero but yeah you have a good point there.
I’m gonna fuck it, cum, and scream
Would not shock me if he puts in Mxyzptlk the first movie
Guardians of the Galaxy is possibly the best comic book movie trilogy
I didn't find that funny, Quill pretended that Hasselhoff was his father. I always thought Ego was mocking him
I think a better example would be showing a bunch of Ego’s dead kids then cutting directly to this
Yeah LMAO
Even though Guardians 2 had worse balance in its humor than 1 and 3, it has major heart
True
He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy

Guardians 3 and Wakanda Forever are really solid in how they balanced their humor
Well.... To be fair Wakanda Forever barely had humor
Death!
I just can’t stop thinking about how 4 years after Endgame seemingly made Gamora’s death in Infinity War far less impactful, my boy James brings it back home and makes it impactful again
I thought for sure Peter was gonna get this Gamora to fall in love with him but I was happy to be proven wrong
Same as with Loki
Oh yeah, like even though Gamora is still around, her dying leaves an impact
I doubt Peter and Gamora will ever get together again, this Gamora just isn't the same person and that's okay
Also they avoided doing anything like Drax's daughter still being alive
Well if the statement from Saldana stating that this is her last film as the character is true then they should stay separated
I do think its kinda funny though that there's seemingly only a couple hour difference between the gamoras and they're drastically different
Like past gamora was only a few hours away from betraying thanos and meeting Peter
Life comes at you fast
Well she did have all that time with the ravagers and in the first film she was kind of forced to team up with the guardians so she formed that connection fast
Over 3 movies I’ve gotten every song I’ve written into a script, sometimes after much blood & toil to acquire the rights. However for the 1st time on Vol 3 we didn’t get the rights to a song I wanted because it was tied up in legal battles. The song is “Russian Roulette” by Lords…

I love to know his reasoning for every song he’s used
#GuardiansoftheGalaxyVol3 completely elevates the first two movies now in retrospect and I love it. You can tell James Gunn wrote these a while ago because the writing is so tightly woven… now words and quotes from the previous two films… have completely different meanings 🥺

Peter giving Rocket the Zune speaks to me on a spiritual level
God, Rocket becoming a music fan, and having his own taste.
This is probably the first Marvel movie in awhile where I’ve left the cinema wanting to rewatch it again
Haven’t felt that way since Spider-Man NWH
Just had a lot of fun watching it
I’m gonna rewatch it with my friend in Cinema again.

cant stop listening to it
That was me with “In the meantime” for a good bit
Definitely my favourite of awesome mix vol.3
I don’t know I really liked Do You Realize by The Flaming Lips
That’s a really good one also
I'm vibing so much with this music
No Sleep Till Brooklyn has kind of been overplayed but it’s use in the movie was pretty hype
Reasons by Earth, Wind & Fire being played over the Flesh Palace fight was golden too
i haven’t ever really heard that song before this movie tbh
Creep at the opening is a major vibe
It was in the Mario movie
I wasn’t the biggest fan of that
Maybe just because I wasn’t expecting it
I adore Earth, Wind and Fire but yet never heard Reasons till this movie, glad I discovered it
I was expecting a more upbeat opening
So did i
Which one was playing when Drax was talking to Quill about metaphors?
That's fair, but it set up the tone for the movie, letting you know it isn't going to be as happy as 2
Drax and Mantis being siblings is the best
Bautista may not like being the humorous character all the time but he plays it so well
His comedic timing is perfect
I’m glad he still got his moment though in the film
"Why didn't you tell us you knew their language?"
"Why didn't you ask?"
Nebula can be really funny too
Nebula had one of the best arcs
I love that scene where Nebula stops the past version of Gamora from hurting Peter shows how much her character has changed since the first film
Honestly though, my favorite Drax scene is in Vol 2 when Mantis touches him to feel his emotions and she cries for him
It’s such an odd but kind of satisfying reversal of Nebula being the more caring and considerate of the two siblings
Nebula from the first film would definitely not have cared so much about doing things for the greater good
Also remember that Rocket and her are close since they were the only two Guardians who survived Thanos
Yeah someone on twitter pointed out how Nebula seemed extra thrilled when the team learns Rocket lives
Nice attention to detail
“You can’t outrun me, Bacon!!”
Movie was fun
I just realized that Phylla Vell was the member of the New Guardians
Oh that’s who she is
bruh why you using a camrip, they released this scene online 💀
This song has to be my top favourite from Awesome Mix Vol 3.
Even before the movie came out I was obsessively listening to this song on the soundtrack, it’s definitely the most badass. I would’ve played this in the final slow mo walk rather than No Sleep.
It’s censored lol
💀
Whipped up a lego Kraglin
Yondu would approve
From the heart
I guarantee it’s like what other people were saying though that his helmet was destroyed in the end of the second movie and the Russo’s didn’t pick up the signal on it
Rocket and Lylla never had any adventures together. Yet she is listed on his allies in Guardians of the Galaxy. He probably would've been talking about her after he escaped the High Evolutionary
i mean i always assumed he either had a backup or rocket just made him a new one, rocket has made way more impressive stuff than helmet replacements before so i assumed it wouldn’t be too far out of the question
@BrickheadzX @prattprattpratt @zoesaldana @PomKlementieff They're one of mine as well! Wonderful animals!

James Gunn loves Tapir's
Another ally
@jeannius It did but then he somehow had a new one in IW.

the sass
Lmaoooo
They were right
Stuff like this is bound to happen in big franchises still a lot of sass though lmao
I gave in and totally legally watched it since I was not sure if I could watch it before the end of the month. I will watch it in theatres if it's still available later in May. But genuinely amazing movie and amazing send-off for the trilogy. I am very happy no one died. It was pretty much perfect and now GOTG is my favourite trilogy in the MCU
The OST was very weirdly good, I did not expect it to hit so hart in the important story moments
By far the most heart-breaking moments in all of the MCU are all in this one movie for me. Quill thinking Rocket died, Rocket's scream when he saw Lylla die, him finding the Racoons, it was all perfect
These two tracks sound so foreign for a GOTG movie but I weirdly like it
When this movie releases on D+ I am gonna watch all 3 GOTG movies in a row
I sorta love how Gunn secretly made Rocket the main character of all of these movies
Basically making him into a leader for the new Guardians
Yeah it was really well done, his whole arc and setup throughout the trilogy is great
Other than the whole Gamora dying in Infinity War, GOTG works as a trilogy very well without needing to watch any other Marvel movie
Man I love how that trailer misdirected us thinking Rocket and Drax were gonna die
My soul almost died when Drax got shot
Rocket listens to Radiohead smh
It is very bittersweet knowing that this is the last time the OG Guardians were on screen together
I think the current Guardians team have a better chance against Kang than the rumored Avengers lineup
The Guardians Trilogy is my favorite Trilogy next to the Original Star Wars
GOTG Volume 3 bear Thor Ragnarok for my favourite MCU movie of all time
I am not sure if Adam Warlock was like this in the comics but he was funny in this movie
(He wasn’t comedic in the comics)
I like how he acts like a child
eh, adam kinda consistently been portrayed as a dumbass that means well and is kinda clueless in social situations
plus he was child like in his earlier appearances
I only know that in the comics he was space Jesus
i believe him being space jesus was largely just a infinity saga thing and it kinda faded into the background of his character after that
I don’t read the comics so now I just see him as a socially inept child
This movie did something only two MCU things did after the Infinity Saga
Make me feel the same way I felt watching most of the MCU movies back before and during Infinity War and Endgame
Pretty much
Recently I only felt like that with Wakanda Forever and this movie
it was his very first appearances in the thor and fantastic four comics right? he was basically a man child for his time in both. but was a quickly dropped element
Yes, he first appeared in F4 comics and then Thor.
Originally known as “Him”
if you want a really fucking good adam though play the guardians game, which is currently on sale
I was thinking about getting it

He!!!!!
I’m happy GOTG Volume 3 kept the trend of absolute classics being played in the intro
Guardians is possibly the best comic book movie trilogy
This coming from someone who likes other ones.
The thing is Dark Knight has Batman Begins.
Raimi has Spider-Man 3
Thor has dark world
The MCU Spider-Man trilogy and Captain America are the closest
GOTG us my favourite CBM trilogy for me right now
This video is sponsored by Nebula. Get a GREAT deal on Nebula now: https://go.nebula.tv/captainmidnight
James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 stands out in the crowd of MCU movies, but I think it's more interesting as the capper to a great trilogy. In this video I go over the "final" chapter for Rocket Raccoon, Star Lord, Drax, Groot and t...
I don't know about that statement completely, I think I like No Way Home more but idk
No Way Home was great for me during the first watch before I realized a lot of the moments in it are kinda built to be experienced in the theatre
As fair as that is, the story is really solid
I think removing Tobey and Andrew it would still be just as good
The plotholes in NWH kinda put it beneath GOTG Vol. 3
I usually don't care about plotholes
But some of them in NWH become really distracting
I will say it's odd how the internet kind of just forgot how good Wakanda Forever
Is
I don't know why people just
forgot about that movie
Wakanda Forever was praised everywhere I went and most of my friends who watch Marvel movies liked it
Like I was watching Campea, my first mistake. But he loved Guardians 3 and said it's nice that after Love & Thunder and Quantumania the MCU has had a good movie again
And I just was like "Wait you forgot something"
Oh for sure, over the past year anyhow. Though I admittingly did like Quantumania a lot
Wakanda Forever and Guardians 3 are leagues better though
Wakanda Forever was just a huge improvement from Black Panther 1, and it shows it was made out of pure will. Ryan wanted to make this movie despite everything telling him he should just cancel it
I am still surprised people forget about it even if it was the best thing that they could have done without Chadwick
Wakanda Forever was the cast and crew pouring their hearts out and letting out all of their grief
Though I will say, as much as Wakanda Forever was a gut-punch
GOTG 3 is like a kick to the ribs
God if Thor L&T was good, I would feel the same way I felt back in the day when Infinity War and Endgame were coming out
I disagree actually, I find Wakanda Forever to be the heavier movie, not that Guardians 3 is a light fluffy movie. But none of the Guardians die, Romona's death is incredible
And to be clear I'm happy no one died
I probably felt for GOTG 3 more because of how much I love the characters
I don't love the Black Panther characters as much
Fair
Probably because I don't have that strong of a connection to the first Black Panther movie
Lyla, Teeth, and Floor's death were um...
Same especially I literally grew up with the characters
Yeah that was rough
Also Rocket’s line about everybody’s got dead people hits harder now
Yeah
I love that Lylla basically says that Rocket was the main character of the GOTG movies all along, even if it was evident since him and Nebula were the only Guardians that were alive during the events of Endgame
The furries take the W on this one yet again
Yeah you know how Star Wars typical has the main three? Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme. Luke, Han, Leia. Rey, Finn, Poe.
Guardians was Rocket, Peter, Nebula
I also like Nebula in this movie and how she was relieved Rocket was alive. I am happy that Gunn paid attention that Nebula and Rocket spent 5 years together in grief
Details like these are why I watch most of the MCU
Even if the movies are bad or mediocre
It will eventually pay off in a good one
MCU has always had bad movies, it will always have bad movies..... It will also always have good movies like Guardians 3, Wakanda Forever, No Way Home, Shang-Chi
Shang-Chi is the one I am guilty of forgetting exists
Even if it was good and even if I enjoyed it
I think the good movie I forget exists a lot of times is the first Doctor Strange
Multiverse of Madness though I have fought for so I remember that one a lot.... And I also have a poster on my wall for it lmao
Multiverse of Madness is a movie I remember liking
but I genuinely forgot almost everything about it
Multiverse of Madness is a movie I came out of expecting to see everyone like it and was confused when it was controversial
I do like the campy Rami moments in it
Like Love & Thunder I'm not the biggest fan of so I get that.
Quantumania I really like, but I understand the hate, don't agree with it, but I understand.... Multiverse of Madness though I was just confused

L&T was disappointing for me because I loved Ragnarok and couldn't wait for a movie with those vibes
But then it was just
bad
Love & Thunder was a gross misunderstanding of why Ragnarok worked
It was also somehow painfully unfunny
I would at least expect a Taika project to be funny
It had funny moments but it tried too hard.
At the very least they treated Jane's cancer with some respect but even that was fairly shallow
Based Schaff ranking for the MCU
- Infinity War
- GOTG 2
- GOTG 3
Guardians 2 is a really good movie, I just wouldn't better than 1 and 3
i think it’s the best of the trilogy personally

Welp time to watch it for a third time lol
Gonna take my mom with me this weekend to watch it again
Raccoon sales boutta skyrocket after this movie
I’m sure that won’t end badly
Fun fact: there’s an anime featuring a pet raccoon that drove high demand for raccoons imported into Japan. They caused massive property damage and they stopped importing them
"The names Rocket. Rocket Raccoon"
No MCU cameo will ever come close to the tapirs showing up in this one
You know this server has made an effect on me, when I genuinely get excited at the sight of a tapir
It’s crazy to me how good Bradley Cooper is as Rocket Raccoon and how much effort he puts into acting out the part when he’s clearly one of the few actors who doesn’t like to associate himself as much with the role
He’s never shorted or given any less in the role
I just realized this is the second james gunn movie in a row where a secondary antagonist is a bald guy with special technology in their head who is captured by the main heroes and gets killed by getting smashed into a hard object
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 much like the rest of the series is great. It even made me feel emotions. Remember those things?
Don’t
Rocket Raccoon is a certified Radiohead fan
Just like me fr
No Rocket is not a certified virgin
Rocket would on the "knowlidge of sex and fucks/doesn't fuck" go on "doesn't know what sex is, fucks"
Rocket a goddamn chad he knows what sex is and fucks
Is this real?
Well if they ever decide to do a live action toy story, they got their Sid…
Okay but who would’ve fucked Rocket?

With GotG Vol. 3 finally out, the future for the series looks more uncertain than ever. In this video I go over if Marvel should continue the ad...
I just finished watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 about 2 days ago.
The movie was really good, really cool and very mesmerizing.
I love the plot and subplots.
The storyline is very consistent with the storyline in the previous 2 movies, with many new "surprises".
The 3 scenes that made me cry were when Lylla was killed by the High Evolutionary and when Rocket freed the animals before he faced the High Evolutionary and Quill finally met his grandfather.
I just found out that Ayesha has appeared in Guardians of The Galaxy before.
The soundtrack is awesome.
About Adam Warlock. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the next Guardians of The Galaxy movie and there was a scene that made me laugh when he tried to hug the Guardians team members.
I have just already found out that High Revolutionary gave a soul gem to Adam Warlock to complete his mission to save the world of Counter-Earth because i have just read Marvel Premiere #1
Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 threatened to kill off the entirety of the original line up to couple with James Gunn's move from the MCU to the DCU. HOWEVER. I'm gonna see it again with my family today
They are so not ready for the emotional whiplash
God I wish Love & Thunder had been anywhere near this good
Very curious to see whether this will generally be looked back on as a point when the MCU improved again for a period or whether it’ll be seen as a final peak
I think people will praise from the MCU from now until The Marvels comes out and everyone will say the MCU fell off again, than Captain America: New World Order will come out and probably do really good
It's a constant cycle
1 critically panned, 1 critically loved, it'll just continue until people realize they can just not watch
Oh boy New World Order is gonna be controversial af 😭
We'll see how it'll do when the trailer comes out
Do we have a specific date for the trailer?
I don’t think so
The Marvels looks like it’ll be good
Excited to see how Rey rebuilds the Jedi in New World Order
Maybe before The Marvels since that's the next Marvel movie after that, but who knows with all these delays and switch ups
Wrong franchise my guy
No it’s not. It’s the fourth film in a storyline that started in TFA
The First Avenger

Alright, so the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 gave us the best villain in the MCU after Thanos!
That's right, in my opinion The High Evolutionary is already a better villain than Kang the...
This movie is what a bunch of recent MCU movies should’ve been
I was super aware while watching of how much better it was doing certain things than other films
Multiverse of Madness failed at the horror
Love & Thunder failed at balancing the comedy
Quantumania needed better executed villain and better lighting because it looks so damn dark
Eternals? We should care about the ensemble why?

Do you think if infinity war hadn't magically given Peter a new helmet gunn would have given him his comic one, instead of giving him nothing to spite the Russo
Don’t think so, he seemingly meant to have the destruction of it in 2 last
Idk I get the vibe he probably would have
Holy shit
He planned it all from the beginning.
That’s awesome
I mean Lylla isn’t really a new character. She made her first appearance in the same issue as Rocket did.
This is Rocket Raccoon’s first appearance.
And I love the cover.
Ah, didn’t know she was a character beforehand
Yeah Rocket’s 3 friends were already established characters before James adapted them but they weren’t that significant as Rocket himself was.
Honestly does raise a question on how the nova corps know about Lylla since she died before she was ever able to escape
I was introduced to her from the Guardians Telltale game
Forgot about that game
What surprises me is that Floor is supposed to be Blackjack O’Hare.
Floor is superior
I really like how faithful the High Evolutionary was adapted, they even picked smaller aspects of the character like being called “Sire.”
Although the design is a bit 50/50 for me.
What do you guys think of his movie design?
i thought it made sense for how he was portrayed in the movie
TEEFS!!
Definitely not crying, no, no, not me
Aaaand new banner
That was fun. Also love how memable Warlock's intro is. That's an homage to Wes Anderson right?
Is it?
Crazy On You was a badass song to introduce him to
We need to normalize characters casually flying through space without any gear
idk the shot reminded me of his style
You guys are getting paid?
The High Evolutionary is still alive
Drax was carrying him away from the exploding lab
damnit
He gonna rot in jail dw
ah phew
I hope his face stays like that while in jail
But it’s funny how he’s the first gotg villain to survive
He’s definitely the least dangerous. Which says a lot
Eh I’d say without the Power Stone Ronin is as powerful or weaker
He was running on the power stone. And took a missile like it was nothing
it better
Just finished the movie
Cool.
The 4-minute opening of ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3’ has been officially released online by the VFX company Sarofsky.

Now they should accidentally release the whole movie
After watching Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, I couldn’t help but compare The High Revolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) to Kang (Jonathan Majors) in Ant-Man: Quantumania, specifically, how The High Evolutionary felt much more threatening and powerful than Kang. When looking online, I noticed I wasn't the only person with the same thought. As a resu...
Feelsbad knowing it’s downhill from here
James Gunn really was their secret weapon. Their secret gun, if you will.
Buzz Lightear to the rescue?

lowkey a top 3 marvel movie
I’m done running.
Alright Raccoon
I just saw a story from one of my ex co workers saying how GOTG3 volume 3 was the worst marvel movie ever
I’d be very interested in seeing their mcu ranking…
Sounds like they probably haven’t seen any Marvel movie before
I watched GotG Vol 3 yesterday.
I didn't like Star-Lord's fakeout death, but other than that, I have zero complaints
These films are the best that the MCU has to offer, and I can't forgive myself for not checking them out earlier. 💙
When his face bloated, I started to suspect he would survive. They wouldn’t do him dirty like that on his death bed
Why did his face puff up by the way? lol
Honestly the fact that Star Lord’s still continuing in the mcu after this movie is the part that annoys me
But perhaps they’ll handle it well
On second thought tho, I figured he wasn't gonna die either.
His next appearance will probably be his send off
I mean, what did Star-Lord almost die for? His music player?
Would have been a slap in the face. XD
Right? Lol
Well he did give it to Rocket
I mean I think it’s less about it being a music player
And more about it being the gift Yondu gave to Quill before he died
Fuck you now I’m sad
Maybe a Disney+ series about his grandfather nagging him to get a job.
Don’t get me wrong, it definitely has more of a meaning but it being the reason for his death just would be odd
I’d rather he sacrifice himself for the team or smth like that if he were to die
But the ending Gunn gave him was really heartwarming
Something died in me when I saw Lyla get shot on the first viewing
I knew it was coming
But I still wanted that mf dead when it happened
Oh, and if Peter's family dilemmas in the first two films didn't tug at your heart strings, Rockets origin will demolish it.
When I first saw Lyla in the promotional materials, I thought she was his long-lost girlfriend and Rocket was gonna be forced to make a classic "Pals before Gals" choice.
I was right about one thing, but the other? Heck no! lol
Cause the human body is kind of allergic to space for lack of a better word
But when everyone else died in space they never puffed out like Peter did
More just an excuse to make him look ugly
Maybe it’s just specific to Earth Humans
Damn, guess Quill couldn't solve the icing problem
Nah I think gunn was trying to replicate what actually happens when you're exposed to vacuum in each movie, it just differs based one the current scientific knowledge of the phenomenon. Notice how in the first movie it was slow freezing and bloodshot eyes, kind of demystifying the whole vacuum makes you instafreeze or explode of other scifi movies. In vol 3 he just included the puffing effect it's theorized now
Everybody else are aliens, space probably affects them differently
Also to note in the first few films he had active celestial dna. Now that ego dead he's a regular ass human. So the vacuum of space would fuck with him differently than it would have in vol 1 and 2
yeah that’s exactly what i thought as well
some of them have cybernetics like gamora and as said in the films that allowed her to survive for a few minutes longer than a regular human would
GOTG3 is James Gunn's best movie yet. This is what it was like watching it.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 has released to mixed reviews by critics and I can see why. In this Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 review I discuss how messy the film is, and how it doesn't allow you to feel any emotion. Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 had some good elements like Chris Pratt's performance and Rocket the racoon's backstory, however apart f...
It’s clickbait right? Right?
NOPE
i think this guy is being serious
I’m like a quarter of the way through and while he is presenting things in a calm way
Its nonsensical
This comment is pretty accurate
He looks like Sebastian Stan’s hidden bastard son
I don’t doubt someone’s ability to criticize something and respect it however it appears he probably just wanted the clicks
Idk he sounds genuine
Tho yes the way he words his arguments does make it appear like well performed clickbait
Ronan survived direct contact with the power stone for a crazy amount of time. Also he‘s clearly a more experienced and intelligent fighter so I‘d say he’s more powerful. With the power stone he honestly would have had a really good shot at actually killing Thanos without gauntlet.
Took my mom to watch GOTG 3 yesterday since she saw I was in a bad mood because I got fired, and she loved it
It was also in a relatively empty theatre
My mom pretty much only likes GOTG from the MCU and she feels satisfied that they ended they, first and foremost ended the trilogy, but did so in a spectacular way
I also didn’t give enough credit to Gunn for trying his best with what was left of Gammora’s character after Infinity War, she has some sort of an arc, and it honestly hurts more that she just doesn’t remember anything than it hurts her just being dead
Peter's whole story in the trilogy could just be summarized as Space Footloose
Not to make bashing on quantumania a regular thing but there’s this comment that describes why kang is ok and why evolutionary is good. We are told why kang is bad and how he’s this powerful guy while with High Evolutionary we are shown his capabilities and why we should hate him. On one hand we’re told to hate a dude cause X, Y and Z reasons while with the other dude i was personally glad when the guardians beat him.
They were both written similarly too. Their both just pure evil pricks who have god complex’s but one was shown to do much more that made us hate him and made him a threat while with Kang well.
Hyped up only to just be weaker than thanos
Yeah but I'm just saying, Thanos lost his quest for the stones twice, first with Loki in the Avengers and again with Ronan in Guardians 1
But we saw what Thanos was capable of
All we saw of Kang's potential was him wiping out some guys in a blink-and-you-miss-it sequence and one of his Variants fucking with Loki and Sylvie
But with High Evolutionary it was built up little by little in the Trilogy weather it be Rocket in the Kyln and his drunken meltdown in the bar, or Yondu yelling at him about how both of them are similar by how broken they are and how they act all tough to mask it
Rocket is broken, and we knew it was the High Evolutionarys fault, that's why we hate him because we see how Rocket can't open up properly without having to be an asshole about it
Guardians 3 good
This is a clip from one of my recent videos, an in depth analysis of Rocket Raccon in The Guardians Of The Galaxy Trilogy. In This part of the video I analyze a scene from the First Movie, which resembles a scene from Vol 3, showing the deep trauma of Rocket Raccoon and how we often cause the same despair in others that was dealt upon us.
