I highly suggest installing Gunslinger mod for CoP though, an exceptionally high-quality weapons pack that really makes the game feel fresh and modern

Prey 2017 is another game like that, since it follows the system shock lineage. You can basically be unbeatable on max difficulty by like hour 5.
