That sounds pretty obvious to you, but many people prefer to stay in the "no spending money because if you spend some, you're weak" which is a really dumb idea.

Once you've understood the mechanics and how to achieve some effects/shapes etc., there are no need to stay "vanilla" like, and you just have to speed up your workflow. Brushes are so efficient for that.

it took me 1.5 years to figure out how to use krita

its not a very good program for painting
not gonna lie
unless youre like some wizard at custom brushes

all the painting brushes are really specific and come in every shape and opacity (except the ones you need to actually paint)
