The way I went about recoloring was probably not the way I was supposed to do it but

The recoloring tool was hard to work with since I had to do one big non-broken stroke since with antialiasing enabled if I did it in small strokes it wouldn't recognize the blurred edge of the color and would create this weird line thing

Figured coloring the entire thing and then just erasing it from there was the easiest way to get around that
