id recommend staying away from the airbrush. blood stains are usually very sharp and clear and dont soak in quite as easy

Gaussean blur

To give it some tiny soft edges

Hell if you want get water, splash it on some clothin, get a quick pic

Get a noise brush with multiply and go over that to give it some texture
