If you're applying to a school to learn animation in a professional way, then softwares shouldnt be a large barrier. You are showing animation exercises with some lighting and editing. They ll check your skills knowledge. If you know about animating curves in SFM, you ll understand how to do it in blender and they are supposed to understand that.
However, you'll have to switch. No choice if you get in school, but you already know that, no doubt about it. Starting school, you ll get back to 0, and learn fundamentals about animating, if you already have good knowledge about it, transition to another software will be easier. A lot
