you didnt follow the donut properly
you didn't use an elongated cylinder for the sprinkles, you used dots
but don't worry, you can do both if you want
geometry nodes, duplicate the "distribute points on faces" and "instance on points" nodes
change the seed on the distribute points node, create a new sprinkle object and plug it into the duplicated instances on points node
then plug that into the join geometry node
and you can do this with however many types of sprinkles or toppings you want
Or you could simply elongate a few of them

they're done using geometry nodes
you can't edit the individual sprinkles

crease at every sharp edge, every time the texture turns 90 degrees, if the mesh is circular then one down the middle to seperate the UVs into seperate islands

in edge select mode, you can add creases to edges using the right click menu
they're used to divide UV maps into "islands"
islands are just collections of faces that are joined together when UV vapping

I just increased saturation so its not that dark and second so its not "boring" looking

But if you want to get into blender, at least with some confort, it's better to get a tutorial serie like the donut one. (I know it's a big cliche about Blender, yet it's still a good way to learn Blender's fundamentals.).
If you wanna learn blender because everyone suggested you to learn Blender instead of SFM (which isn't a valuable argument when it comes to make things the way you'd like.) it's not worth it, because you won't stop looking for SFM method inside Blender, you'll spend more time trying to adjust or look for very specific tool, and get blocked by another step, needed to be learnt to understand the tool itself.

That's why I'm telling you to think about how to learn in blender.
SFM is a very simplified engine about 3D and that's lovely, because rigging, and animating are a pain if you don't have the modeling/rigging bases
it's not a question of whether or not you can do great things in source, it's a matter of whether or not it's worth putting your time into source over blender
for new users I absolutely reccomend blender in 2024, but for those who are used to it, it's a personal decision
sure you can't do shit like movement based mesh displacement or perfect cell shaders but none of that matters if you don't plan on doing allat
If you've never touched modeling and 3D knowledge about vertex/polygons/blendshapes/vertexpainting, it's way harder to understand what you're going to edit in an animation or why it's not gonna work. A quick transition isn't possible imo
you don't need to know allat
But if you take your time, it'll come smoothly
it took me over 250 hours with no tutorials how to animate properly
object mode, pose mode, never touch edit mode in your life

Sfm has subpixel AA but it probably wonāt look as good

Itās got a lotta useful tips and stuff that helped make my shots look a lot better
if you want to use antialiasing in blender composite, you'll have to do it like this:
image sequence node (acts exactly the same as adding an image sequence to your timeline) ---> antialiasing node with preferred settings --> composite
(do not set your threshold to 0, it will literally just blur the entire image)
if you open a video editing project, the composite tab isn't visible by default, you can either add the tab (red circle) or change the currect tab's type (blue circle)

if you change the camera resolution to match your 21:9 monitor then your exported render will also be 21:9

do not change the aspect, it's a weird setting that crops output instead of scaling it
just set the resolution to whatever your monitor outputs (you can find it in display settings on windows)

add a node > image sequence
select all your frames as the image squence
it will set frame length automatically, adjust the end frame of your timeline to match it
connect the image sequence node to the composite node
add another node, called "anti-aliasting"
connect the output of the image sequence to the color node of the anti-aliasing node, and the output of the anti-aliasing node to the composite
if you want to preview the output, add a "viewer" node
it outputs whatever you put into it, as the background of the compositor view

but there is another node, called the viewer, which outputs as the backdrop of the composite window
setup is correct, now change the threshold to your liking

in compositing window, go to the "view" tab on the right
the one where it currently says "active tool"
in view settings turn on backdrop
this way you can actually see what you're doing
in my case would 0 threshold be better or 1
0 threshold means everything gets blurred, 1 threshold means nothing gets blurred
find a middle ground between sharp edges being smoothed while everything else stays unblurred
i will just set it to 0.8 and see what happens

honestly, the MTF models could use some glowy goggles. that would be a great way to tell the difference from afar. new models are very distinct, but when you're at a certain distance, the Chaos and MTF look a bit samey.
