SFM is hell

it is seriously bugged, have not been updated, and crashes often

plus, you need to get models from the workshop and some things might not be there which you would have to port yourself

Blender is a better choice, its much more optimized and updated, it can give you fancy lighting, ability to model, animate and import models. However, you kinda need a beefy computer to render things that have Ray-Tracing and all that stuff
