I color kinda weirdly - Idk how to explain how I color 😅
First I do a base color on its own layer with little detail but sometimes i'll add darker shades to add variation. Then I add onto that with any needed detail. I shade by completely covering whatever im drawing and erase where I want the highlights to be, vice versa with highlights. I do a purple as my shading color and for highlights I use color dodge usually with a pink/orange
(my highlight and shading layers are over my line art)

Honestly I have no idea. I’ve done digital art for the longest time and decided to get into sculpting one day. An artist I’ve followed for years does amazing 3D stuff and inspired me to start. I tried blender first but it just didn’t really work out for me. I prefer to do things freehand and blender didn’t really deliver on that. I then found sculptris, basically a free watered down version of zbrush that could do just that. I started in 2019 then stopped for a while before just picking it back up now. I was surprised with how easily I picked it up when I first started.

But yeah I highly recommend sculptris as a beginner program if you want to feel like you’re actually molding something out of clay
