I'm not an expert, but very basic tips:
-play around your team. You get assists if you interact with something when someone dies. Teslas are neat, but don't over-prioritize them.
-give callouts and directions. even "Dog, take a right then a left..." is good. In a similar vein, your team wants to be in LCZ by the 1-minute mark, so guide them there.
-request your team notify you near kills.
-zone blackout is not always the best option.

Maim is not a good ability imo.

  1. It allows him to instantly regenerate some of his vitals. This is bad because it negates (partially) the small vulnerability period (think Mo and Krill ult). Getting grabbed by him would also not be fun.
  2. Escaping Maim leaves you completely crippled. 20% more damage and 15 less HP is ridiculous and basically means you die instantly to anything, be it guns, SCPs, etc. At that point I'd just go jump off a cliff because that's such an anti-fun mechanic - that is, I like to be able to play the game. Traumatized itself is pushing it, and it has one net negative interaction with ONE specific SCP.
  3. Killing any target with maim instantly rewarding you has the same effect as the 1st point, except you can just kill them normally, so that 0.4s of vulnerability is ineffective. What is also to stop him from just killing a maimed person then immediately initiating a charge to quickly kill a group?

Main attack:
Bleed for 5s just makes it do one tick of 20. This is interesting, I guess? Not sure if I'm a fan

T1 is too weak and higher tiers scale too strongly. 2.8 seconds TTK is terrible for any SCP - that's worse than 049-2s, and it kind of just seems like he's supposed to just trail behind and use corpses until he scales to t2 or t3, where he does (35/45) a hit + 20 DOT, where he just hits people and then leaves to starve their meds out

Overhume is interesting, but this kind of just lends itself poorly because, on the flip side, if humans find a 3-long hallway with no doors, they immediately cripple him. On the other end, if he has a billion overhume, one guy fighting him is going to feel frustrating when he just regenerates all that overhume by sitting back for 20m and farming (the 079 effect)
Innately punishing an SCP for taking damage is kind of strange, because SCPs already are punished for taking damage, by... taking damage. 90 is also a very low amount to lose - a standard, no mods crossvec does about 290 DPS.

I think if done quick enough, maim would not be too annoying to get grabbed by, you have some good points about the effects themselves being a bit too punishing

Do you think tier 1 should get significantly buffed or just some stat changes would bode well, tier one is supposed to be the pretty basic form that you can get punished to go in if you go too all out

The main gameplay loop I’ve imagined for 542 is supposed be reminiscent of old slashers or stalker enemies akin to the re games, where you can get weakened but you can always come back to the humans stronger or still as strong
