Using them solo feels more like a debuff since you're always going to lose your ability to surprise and sneak.
In a team it's useful for calling out where players or SCPs are hiding, but if you're on your own, you'll probably die before the enemy whose location you can literally see.

Before Chaos Theory became Chaos Theory, it used to be called SCP Unlimited and had wilder plugins (if you can believe that) such as custom but rare events.
One of them was SCP-682 spawning late in the round, it was an (old) Dog model scaled so large your vision clipped through the ceiling and bites would destroy doors. It had like 5-6k health I think.
It was so hard to kill, all MTF spawn waves after would have custom grenade launcher weapons and 682 would still win.
However using Cola and Micro I managed to kill it one game. Only time I ever saw it get killed.

Like an item that only spawns in one part of the map that can only be used once, but when used in a room it removes a camera for the rest of the game, 079 can't do anything inside it.
