I mean, I really like Wreckfest 1 and 2. I do. But somehow, no new features have been added yet. They're gradually releasing features from the first game, but so far there hasn't been anything fundamentally new. What about weather changes? Night races? Repairs? Are there any changes that are truly new? Does anyone know what else is coming? I was really excited by the "Tell us what's next" approach. But meanwhile, it feels kind of strange. Too slow. Or like they're not really taking the community's suggestions seriously. Maybe I'm just wrong. Or better: Hopefully. Let me know. I'm definitely hoping for bigger updates than we've had so far.
#Could someone explain to me exactly how the 'tell us what's next' feature works?

I mean, most sequels do more of the same but improve upon it, and I think that's what it's ultimately gonna be and I look forward to that. Also, it's kind of hard to tell them what to add next, when the WF community is probably the most divided ones I've ever seen. People usually want either a completely different game, be more arcadey, or realisistic.
Thanks for your reply.
But why are the devs asking the community? And why are they making this a permanent feature? That raises unnecessary expectations for the game. I'll lower my expectations. Sadly.
What sets it apart the most so far, aside from the improvements to car suspension, is the Crap-It paint mode and the track creator that we know they are developing.
I would say it stands out for its realistic - but not perfect - collision physics, as well as photorealistic textures. Essentially, the textures seem to be digitized photographs, at least that's how it appears to me. It creates an effect almost like in Bodycam, especially on the Moorfeld map.

Oh right, I didn’t mention that because he was referring more to new things to do in the sequel. Still, he’s right that they haven’t added any new modes yet, even though some have been suggested. Hopefully they implement a programmable rules system so we can create modes ourselves as well.
Yes. You're right. Graphics are at least a couple of steps better now.
But that's what I really think a sequel should do.
Let's wait. Maybe they're cooking.
The track creator sounds nice. Did not know, that they are working on that. 👍
I wish they would also allow adjusting car collision physics on servers. Players could decide for themselves which physics they like best. I'm sure Von Amadeus' physics would come out on top.
If they also allow modifying car handling physics, in addition to creating tracks, you could make your own version of TrackMania Canyon.
That's exactly what i meant: We did not get any information about exciting NEW features (yet).
Time will tell. 😅
