Invalid Laptime (for leaderboard) If going wrong way or reset?

Due to the current cheesing of laptimes. Which was and is a problem in wf1 aswell. Maybe implement something to invalidate a laptime for leaderboard?

I was talking just now to a mate about this while playing Gran turismo 1. Gran turismo will invalidate your time if you go onto the grass. Might be a bit harsh with a game about pushing other people but it could fix some of the issues.

I thought the same. I don't wanna bring the racing sim world into a derby game but what's the point in having leaderboards if you ain't gonna drive fast n clean y'know?

Of course using cars as corners as an advantage for faster times is 100% valid

Some of the top times on some tracks in wf1 have been "cheated" through using busses to wallride or getting pushed by someone else in a higher class around the track but not sure what conditions should be met to invalidate a laptime in that case

I think (not really tried it) wallriding feels impossible in wf2 due to the already magnetic walls

I think using other cars as leverage for times isn't too bad as that still plays into the meat of the game.

In public lobbies yes. In private ones not so much as someone can ask a few friends to position busses (or motorhomes perhaps atm) in corners to wallride off of
