Things I regularly pay for multiple times that are similarly priced to a one time Wreckfest 2 purchase of £19.99:

-A meal (multiple)
-My sons Vbucks (multiple)
-A taxi into town (multiple)
-School trousers for my kids when they ruin them (multiple)
-An ice cream for 4 people in the summer
-2/3 of a ticket to watch 1 match of my local rugby team
-1/3 of a round of drinks at a family wedding or funeral
-Monthly expenditure on toilet roll
-a swimming lesson for my daughter
-2 tickets to watch one film at my local cinema (without popcorn)
-1 ticket to watch one film at my local cinema (with popcorn or nachos)

1 purchase of £19.99 for a game that has already given me 41 hours and has plenty of content coming. In my opinion, worth it.

100% agree. the price was not even high compared to a few other games which i have spent much more for and actually turned out to be disappointing. not even sure why anyone is complaining. no one is forcing anyone to buy it and the devs have been incredibly transparent about the current state of the game. i am really enjoying WF2 so far even in its most basic form... genuinely looking forward to seeing how it evolves over time.

Looking into just gaming as a whole, $23 is not that bad for a game. In these days now where AAA companies just push out half complete slop for $70 (Seriously, how many games over the past few years have just been a complete mess they just leave in that state), many of these MP focused games push out microtransactions that cost more than the price for this game, and how many titles are fully released in an incomplete state to sell the rest of it as DLC.

People just need to realize that they're not paying the price listed at the moment for a fully complete game. It is stated with "Early Access" directly on the store page (More than once at the moment) so I really am curious to what people think when they see that.

We have the exciting opportunity to help the devs by testing, reporting and suggesting. As well as playing the game for 20 quid. I'm plenty happy!

I don't know why people laugh at such statements so often. From what I've seen, many don't appreciate how many hours of entertainment their favourite (sometimes no even that) game gives them. Like this kid complaining after 100 hours or so, demanding refund. Like, what? If it was so sh-t, why did you keep playing then for a several days worth of your time?

When I saw Wreckfest going with second iteration, I was like "ok, cool, but why? Previous one works well already". But holy... I get it now 🙂 The devil is in details.

the opposite is true too though: there are many games i could buy for less than $24 that are much more complete, even in Early Access.

I'm not terribly upset that I paid what I did, but it's pretty hard to argue that there's $24 worth of content or even quality. It's lacking some incredibly basic features, took two dayss to allow control remapping without crashing the game, and i don't know how you've played 3 tracks for 41 hours. i've got 4, and probably won't be adding to that till the next update.

again, i'm not exactly mad about it, because i do know that it'll get better. but this really isn't something that i can recommend to any of my friends, and it's really not something i think we should encourage.
