What are you think of is called instancing
It would be lovely to have this in the game. And I heavily agree with this

You would no longer have to waste complexity on duplicating assets, just make one and have some system to instance it if it’s needed somewhere like a bullet, or trees, or generation like you’ve mentioned

Instancing is just taking a copy of an already made asset, and is better performance wise because you don’t have to duplicate them yourself

Look for a suggestion called “Instantiate blocks”

either way, I don't fully understand the suggestion. Can't you just put the group somewhere and have code move it to where it should go?
The biggest issue I see with this is the complexity, it would be cool to instance certain groups or objects rather than having duplicates lying around
but once instanced they'd still have to cost that complexity
