#Constraints

Yes, I am taking this from 3D modeling softwares, but if you really think about it, grab is just a 3D modeling software at its core, so it could benefit from this.

A constraint is a way to limit something you are creating to help you create it better, faster, and easier.

How would you access these? In the selection tab, there would be an option called “constraint” where you would pick what constraint you want, and the blocks to use. Constraints that I think would benefit the game are.

  • concentric: pick a face on 2 blocks, they will share a center
  • midpoint: pick a face of a block and an edge/face, the block will have its center placed on the midpoint of the edge/face
  • equidistant: select a block and a grouping of 2 blocks, the solo block will be placed equidistant from the 2 grouped blocks, with the shortest length to them.
  • equalize: pick 2 blocks of same shape, they will be equal size

All of this stuff is possible without constraints, but would be made a lot easier and faster with these.

On the topic of 3D modeling stuff, add a dimension tool that just gives the length of something.

If I am missing any constraints that seem like good ideas tell me and I will add them.

This is the first good suggestion I've found here

It really is

All the other ones are already planned, denied, or bad tbh
