I'm having trouble with getting into a game since i updated to windows 11 and was told to come here to the discord for support.
I can launch the game and get to the main menu. But i can't actually enter a game and start playing, includes saves and new game.
Been trying to troubleshoot for a while now install/uninstall, verify game files, launch in safe mode, launch as administrator, restarting in between each step and nothing works.
I have no idea what issue is and pretty much out of ideas

lets try changing the resolution to 1280x 720 first then trying to run the game

I am running the game in windowed. But i have changed the res to 1280x720

did you change your hardware when you went to windows 11 or is it the same?

No the hardware is the same. I had some problems with my BIOS storage settings being different so i couldn't get W11, but wiping my main drive (no games are stored there) helped me change some BIOS settings allowing me for W11.
It's absurd and i can't quite explain it since a more tech savvy friend helped me
But no hardware changed and the location of where my games are stored did not change or get wiped

i want you to cut the code horizon folder, paste it on your desktop then verify the game files on steam
just to be sure an older config file isnt causing the crash
after verifying, try running the game and let me know

Cut folder "CodeHorizon" from x/appData/LocalLow
Paste it to desktop
Verify game files (on steam)

Okay so an update on a couple of things
I'm not entirely sure how to force the game to use my GPU i couldn't quite figure that one out but i'll have my friend take a look at it over the weekend
The -dx11 parameter didn't work
Moving it to my SSD didn't work
I haven't checked if my drivers are up to date i think they should be, but i'll also have my friend take a look at that.
My friend will tell me what they did over the weekend
I have not had any problems with other games other than really old ones (Like Red alert 2 type old games)
So this weekend i'll take another crack at it and provide an update on:
Force the game to use my GPU
Driver updates
What changes was made in my BIOS

Okay so the BIOS change, was it was changed to "secure boot" because apparently W11 requires secure boot to be on

I have updated my drivers and that didn't help either. But a driver update was sorely needed anyway

Whelp i did the use GPU thing and that didn't work either.
So i'm out of ideas

I have tried using a program called everything to see all instances of GMS being mentioned (and the old name) and have forced deleted it all. so now i've tried a complete reinstall, that seemed to have worked. So there must have been some old files causing conflict. But i did found out my fresh install of W11 was corrupted as well and my drivers was seemingly quite outdated. So that was a whole thing
