really wish there was an easier way to get the workers you actually NEED. the current system just incentivizes save scumming. i'm almost at year 2 and haven't seen a SINGLE S-TJ worker, but i've seen 5 trommel operators!
would be great if the chances of what worker would show up was weighted based on what equipment you have currently active on your claim that doesn't already have a worker, rather than being COMPLETELY random. (makes it especially hard to get matching workers for the equipment thats doubled up. like the S-TJ sluce, and the hogpans)
even something like a 50% chance of getting a worker for a piece of equipment that doesn't already have a worker assigned, with a 50% chance of it being random would be an improvement. (even better if once you 'reject' a specific type of worker, that type of worker wouldn't show up again for the rest of the year. for example I HATE frontloaders, i'm never going to need a frontloader worker, EVER. i've seen THREE of them just in the past year!!! rejecting one per year is fine, missing out on THAT many potential employees is just frustrating.)
alternatively, when 'retraining' a worker, we should be allowed to CHOOSE what role we want them to fill, we are the ones who paid their wages for 2-3 years to train them up to lvl 3, and we paid for the upgrades, AND we are the ones paying to have them retrained... (after all, if your a mine boss, and you decide that one of your loyal employees would be better suited to a different role, and were willing to pay for the training required for it... you would also be the one choosing what their new job is gonna be right?)
or any combination of the above. (or all 3!!!)
I think this would REALLY help reduce the reliance on save-scumming if you want to get your plant to max efficiency sooner.
