Sawblade shield This shield has slightly lower stats than the average shield it does less damage and is slower than the average shield but to make up for it you can throw it as a ranged projectile by double tapping the shield button. It even retains some of its shield properties as a projectile by destroying enemy projectiles like arrows.
As a sawblade inflicts bleed but only when thrown not parrying

I wanted to create a shield with a ranged attack since there is nothing like that in the game

The idea is so cool.

To fix the throw issue:

**The shield is totally normal because changing shield mechanic in a game like dead cells is so punishing so shield is normal and not slowed down or ...

**In Stat we have 2 section, when shield is in hand and when shield is thrown.

** this shield can't be held up like Parry shield and when you hold it up it starts a animation then throw shield but the shield is heavy and fire rate is like a survival weapon.

**The shield throw can be like boomerang and automatically return or can be recalled by pressing shield button again.

How return works:

  1. You can walk to the shield and pick it up.
  2. You can press shield button to recall shield it makes you defenseless for split second (like survival weapons) but in return the shield that coming back hit all enemys in the way.
  3. if you go too far from the shield it automatically returns but deals no damage to enemys in the way.

Some details:

The shield can only be thrown in straight line.
The range is 2 part, first part is effective range that actually hit enemys and can have huge damage or stunning effect, the second part is falling that shield still flying but slowly fall to ground and in this part it can't hit enemys even if enemy was in the way.

If you hit enemys the shield lose all of its momentum and quickly fall.
