cursed sword is supposed to be a gimmick weapon
it's very tangential to typical dead cells gameplay
one of them is enough

part of the risk that goes into the cursed sword playstyle is it being a melee weapon, and one with a (small, but present) wind-up to it.
nerves of steel, multiple nocks bow, marksman's bow, heavy crossbow all have very high projectile damage but some kind of counterbalancing aspect to them to make them not ridiculously overpowered - and yet they are still very strong weapons. any kind of cursed bow that did comparable or better damage, at comparable range, would need some other kind of stats-based or moveset based limitation, and it's hard to think of what would be fair for it.
As Nerves of Steel demonstrates, even having low ammo isn't necessarily a problem if you can either just keep killing enemies with it, or get the arrows back.
so, yeah, I agree that cursed sword is enough for that kind of realm of gameplay. You can take a +300%/+300% bow or take curses if you want any kind of similar run with a bow.
I feel like dying in one hit is a reasonable tradeoff for a cursed bow
Yeah it's technically safer than the sword but it probably wouldn't have quite as high of damage
And also different color scaling and all that
It's true. cursed sword is mele, and the bow is well a bow. It would be to overpowered because there is smaller chance of getting hit

or a balanced bow
or a nutcracker bow

The cursed sword is special
You could argue ice or repeater crossbow for "nutcracker" bow
it doesn't really make sense to bloat the game's weapon roster with copies of it
legendary bow and endless quiver is that now

fair enough but 'CC crit' is a much more generic and general effect than 'die in one hit'
True but idk, I think just only brutality having that challenge run ability is a bit lame outside of colorless items
I think I prefer the idea of a bow where you "have to do X with it, or it hurts you" and that "it hurts you" can kill you if you're cursed
- the shot must contact an enemy (or get blocked), or you take damage
- it homes in on enemies, but if it can't find an enemy it homes in on you and tries to hit you
- a slow piercing boomerang that does a lot of damage but can hit you on the rebound
those would need fleshed out in separate suggestions though
That's not really what people want when they asked for more cursed weapons
They want a cursed sword copy
The one thing I'm against is a cursed shield though, I'd rather have a green melee for that
Yeah, pretty much this. If you like the gimmick of cursed sword, but you don't like running brutality, then it feels like you're missing out on a unique, fun gimmick.
If there where to be cursed items than you should only be able get 1 at a time
More than one would be to good, because curses don't stack

Colorless tends to feel like not much of a reward most of the time tbh
I want cursed shield because I think it would be hilariously bad. But being serious, I think the only way cursed shield would be fun is if there was a cursed green melee weapon, and it took up two slots with the cursed shield being the second slot.
