well, you need to have internet access to run the version first time
once you do that you can disconnect
you can also do that on another computer and then just move the .betacraft folder over to the xp machine
just make sure to update game directory in the instance when you do that
I already did, booted into minecraft and generated a world and then i moved it onto a flash drive and then to the xp pc
I'll give it another try just to be 100% sure
It seems to do something but after pressing play pretty much nothing happens
It just shuts off the launcher and nothing appears
Idk if it's because of jre 1.7
I could not get 1.8 to run it just kept saying that it wasnt a valid win32 application
yeah you need to get java 8
most likely
this will work for you: http://p.betacraft.uk/jre-8u181-windows-i586.exe
and remember to uninstall java 7 before you install this
Alr
Whatever i do it keeps saying that the file is not a valid Win32 file even though i get the 32 bit installer, i've tried alot of different java versions and nothing seems to work other than java 7
this will not give you that error
I've already tried that link and when i boot that one it seems to work for like 1 second, i see it in task menager but then it just turns off for no reason
Should i try windows xp 64 bit?
you could also try azul java: https://cdn.azul.com/zulu/bin/zulu8.44.0.11-ca-jre8.0.242-win_i686.msi
I'll give it a shot and see what happens
I got it working now i just gotta get video drivers, i've tried a ton of them, i still have a few that imma try though
what gpu do you have?
Gt 610 (specifically the msi N610-1GD3H/LPL)
Yeah i just started downloading them a bit ago, i'll test them soon
@sharp relic after a while of trying different installers from the nvidia website i finally found one that worked and i got all the driver that i needed, got java from the zulu installer and now beta 1.7.3 runs at a decent 50 ish frames, thank you for the help!
