So, I'm trying to patch the Dokucraft pack for Beta 1.7.3, and I've downloaded MCPatcher to fix it, but MCPatcher refuses to work correctly. Am I missing something or do I have to try and install Optifine for Betacraft? Any solutions are greatly appreciated!

this jar has mcpatcher already applied to it. put it in .betacraft/versions/, replacing the current b1.7.3.jar

Tried it, but it doesn't seem to work? I even renamed the file to say b1.7.3, but it just reverts to the unmodded version.
I don't have "force update" on, so I don't think it's that...

weird, it shouldn't replace the jar
in that case name the modded jar something else, like b1.7.3-mcpatcher.jar
restart the launcher and it'll appear at the bottom of the version list

Could you resend the jar? I think something happened to the jar when I downloaded it, and maybe that's why it's all borked up.

it could be your AV detecting it as a virus and deleting it
that's the only plausible explanation i see
