I just found out that it does not color hunting or war trained animal. Not a big deal as it lets me know what ones are trained. but interesting that they are not considered part of the castes.
huh, interesting
Just so you can see. The cave blob because it has no gender stays the same. The babies all end up red..... and the trained are all default. I like it as it help me at a glace see what is what.
unintended but helpful feature 😎
okay, modified the python script i used to generate the gender-color-applying versions of the creature raws, to exclude creatures that don't have gender
should hopefully stop errorlog spam
I just did it myself, but it is good that others don't have too.
oh shit, i think it actually left out the last entry in every raw file
hold on
also could use this as an opportunity to also package the actual tool i'm using to generate these
That tool sounds handy to mass edit.
raws have been fixed, and tool has been packaged
pffff, seems it applies to peasants, who don't have a profession color
but ye, raws fixed
(also fun fact, the rabbit is the last creature defined in creature_domestic)
If I needed to pasture my peasants that would be great 🙂
Actually, now I want to disable job colors so they are colored ..... hmmm
ooh and also using name color instead of a menu icon means the mod should work in ascii mode too
heck, maybe even v47?
i could probably pack a few “modules” in the mod, for like, “settings” or no-hassle compatibility with popular/common mods
“module” as in, a mini-mod packed inside another mod
that you take out of the mod and then drop into the main mods folder
so i don’t clutter up my workshop with a billion mod module mods
Thats cool. I did not know that was a option 🙂
So I made this one change to your mod and it works great. Just so you know 🙂
updated with a packaged module for this!
