Installing Revanced on your Android device is a great way to enhance your YouTube experience. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install it:

Step 1: Install MicroG ⚠️ REQUIRED FOR NON ROOT ⚠️ To begin, you need to download and install MicroG, which will allow you to sign in to YouTube. You can get the latest version of MicroG from the official VancedMicroG GitHub repository at: https://github.com/TeamVanced/VancedMicroG/releases/download/v0.2.24.220220-220220001/microg.apk.

Note: You may see a warning message saying the file may be harmful. Don't worry, this is a common message for all files of this type.

Step 4: Patch YouTube with Revanced Manager
Open the Revanced Manager app and navigate to the Patcher section. From here, select "select an application" and then choose "Storage" to locate the YouTube APK file you downloaded earlier.

Make sure you're in the "Downloads" folder, select the YouTube APK, and then tap "Select Patches." Be sure to select the MicroG patch as it is required for YouTube to function properly with Revanced.

You can also choose to enable the "Custom Branding" patch if you want Revanced to appear as Revanced instead of YouTube.

Step 5: Install the Patched YouTube App
After selecting the desired patches, tap "Patch" to patch the YouTube app. Once the patching process is complete, you can install the patched YouTube app by tapping "Install."

That's it! You can now enjoy all the features of Revanced on your Android device.

Updating revanced

Updating Revanced on your Android device ensures that you have the latest features and bug fixes. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to update Revanced:

Step 1: Check for Updates
To check if an update is available, go to the official Revanced GitHub repository at https://github.com/revanced/revanced-patches#-comgoogleandroidyoutube and look for the "Target version" of "com.google.android.youtube." If a newer version is available, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Download the Latest recommended version of the YouTube APK
Go to https://www.apkmirror.com/ and search for the latest version of YouTube. You can find the version number on the Revanced GitHub repository. Make sure to download the APK and not the bundle.

Example search: YouTube 18.05.40

Step 3: Patch the New YouTube APK
Follow the instructions in the previous tutorial to patch the new YouTube APK with the Revanced Manager app. (Steps 4 and 5) You do not need to download the version of YouTube linked in the previous tutorial.

Step 4: Install the Patched YouTube App

A: If you're having trouble downloading videos, make sure you're using the correct download button (see image). Additionally, you need to install Newpipe, which is available for download at https://newpipe.net/#download.

A: You need an Android device with version 8.0 or higher, ARM64, and x64 device to use Revanced.

A: Use the "Spoof App Version" patch, YouTube changed the UI a few months ago

A: All patches have descriptions, read them to find the patch you want.

Q: Is revanced. io official?

A: No it is not. You will get malware that way, official Revanced site is revanced. app which is a redirect to it's GitHub
