So only played the demo when it came out about 2 years ago, but now I'm very likely to be actually getting Miitopia soon. I don't remember how many of these Miis I actually have, but if anyone has any working access keys for these characters (or are willing to make them), then I'd greatly appreciate it!

(I also remember there were the Penguins of Madagascar, who I'd really like to have as the palace guards lmao)

hey im having a bizarre problem ive never had before

so im trying to have a large amount of a really dark blue. and i want it to work with a custom mouth, so im splitting it between lipstick and sticker

trouble is, it seems to be autocorrecting away from what i want? for instance, if i put both lipstick and sticker parts on the exact same colors, the lipstick will change itself by a few ticks of the sliders while the sticker will be unchanged

That's happened to me before a lot with editing transparency, didn't know it happened to other color adjusting sliders too. It should be consistent, so you should be able to tell how much you need to change it by.

i know it resets hue and saturation of its pitch black, but these parts Arent pitch black. they're pretty close though so i assume its related

well the trouble is

they seem to be autocorrecting to different amounts

so im not even sure there Exists a "stable" color on both lipstick and sticker. i can get any one layer to be homogenous but the two get desynced

Maybe the game wants them to be a little different because it sees that the two colors are the same, so it adjusts one so there's a difference between them

i just checked and i cant get Either of the colors one layer currently is to match the other one

i dont think it reads your other colors like that

it already makes an outline in blush layer and other layers anyways. and it doesnt do that by Changing Your Colors behind your back

presumably i just have to live with the colors being slightly different

I don't usually overlay colors on different layers so I'm not sure what you need to do here

I got this issue on occasion as well, when trying to match certain dark colours with different shapes causes the colours to have slightly different hues

No idea on why it does

this is why a color picker would be very helpful

That said I can probably make a Kled down the line, since I really like his design, so that'll be a start in terms of things to put on my Mii backlog but we'll see from there. 🤔

how do you make the eyes super complex?

Generally the way I do eyes is having a circle for the iris and a circle that fades out at the edges (I'll call them faded circles) for the pupil, which I almost always color in because I don't usually make Miis with black eyes. I use a circle gradient (the one that's really transparent) over the pupil and the eye shine inside is often colored. I like putting faded circles under a circle gradient at the bottom of the iris, often lighter in color than it. I put a half-circle gradient at the top of the iris that's darker. Often times, I'll have some extra eye shine under the pupil and over the iris kinda like what I have on the pupil. I top it all off with some white eye shine at the edge of the iris. That's just how I make Mii eyes though, there are people who do it much differently than me, and I think theirs look better than mine but I just have that sort of procedure so

you know since i wanted an excuse to make a mii anyways, i might as well make something to help out another user.
So heres this gal. No makeup, nothing fancy, just a plain ol gal.

first you wanna give your gal or whoever an eye color, it could be any

then you wanna put a circle over the pupil that will cover most of the iris itself. (this is optional)
make sure to match the circles color with the current eye color you have picked out.

now that youve done that, put a smaller circle in the center of the piece you just placed down

now onto details... add this slightly blurred circle shape to the top of the pupil like so, and make it so its placed a layer below the pupil.
also remember to adjust the transparency.

add this blur shape below the pupil, YET AGAIN a layer beneath. this will help give the eye a little gradient.

if you REALLY wanna get super complex, then add some details like this.

of course we all know that the eye moves side to side, and those makeup pieces will overlap the eye itself, so what you wanna do is try to trace the lines surrounding the eye with makeup parts, to prevent clipping and all that.

and there you have it. eyes.

you can also add sclera if you want, but thats just a suggestion.
