Both of mine are gone now. The really big one was last year october and the colorful smaller one was 3 weeks ago. Both are born wild in a nature reservour and i go there from time to time to help out with animals. Both had these rare heart issue where is stops every ~5 minutes for 15 seconds. It is a known issue with wild cats. Both where 18 years old and the vet means that is very old for a wild born cat. I miss them very deeply...

He is a sillybutt and a bit too big, but he is very sweet. A rescue cat, so he’s glad to have a forever home. Took him a while to get used to it, and he still hasn’t quite figured out that he doesn’t have to bolt his food for fear of it being stolen, or eat like he might never get another meal. But he’s adjusting, bless him. And he’s gone from hiding under bookcases to flopping anywhere and everywhere. Progress. :-)

I don't actually remember which chickadee I've seen in person - very common in childhood but I live where I don't see them out on the snow nearly as often (nobody has a bird feeder and it's not wooded that much where I live).
We have a new raptor species nearby I've never encountered before.
They fly (In a big circle, maybe) overhead and make a very distinct repeated call.
I looked it up but I've since forgotten the name.
re-identifying the Cardinal by its call was difficult! They have such a wide repertoire.
Cornell.edu keeps sending me solicitations since I divulged my email address to them.

A friend of mine had a screen house / gazebo in the back yard, so he built what looked like a very long and narrow doghouse (with a peaked roof, shingled with regular house shingles) .. to act as an all-weather cat tunnel for his partner's five siamese cats to travel from the house to the gazebo (I guess they were profoundly indoor cats, or they didn't want them getting loose in the yard).
I don't remember what he said about how much the cats used the covered bridge/tunnel.

There's a cat store (they sell tonnes of cat toys, food, paraphernalia, do boarding, etc) that has an elevated cat run that goes all over the store, with a few places in corners that are more like kennels, where the cats can come down, eat, scratch on posts, etc.
Whenever I'd walk in, I actually somewhat envied he cats, having such a neat play "area".

For the first 2 years we had these cats, they rarely left the basement due to a very aggressive dog occupying the rest of the house. That’s why I made the outdoor enclosure (above) and the catwalks. They now enjoy free reign of the house with a much more tolerant dog.

Cat and rabbit usually voluntarily remained somewhat distant. ;)

Sorry, wandered off before I saw any of the replies. That's one big boy, one little old lady. She's 10-11, he's probably about 1 year old, some friends found him abandoned and we took him in.
And yeah, we feed them well with plenty of hay, greens, pellets, and carrots only as a treat; he absolutely loves carrots, her favorite treats are apples and bananas
And we let them roam around all day when we can monitor them (I worked from home even before the pandemic), though we do put them in a large enclosure at night because otherwise they'll chew on a number of things that they shouldn't (bookshelves, books, carpet, other furniture, and any cables they can get their mouths on).
