Question: What do you recommend for pogo probes? I got some of the pogo clips you sell to try to use with the SWD pins on M0 feather and trinkey, but the clips don't work well on double sided boards. They slide/don't clamp/roll/can't get close to each other.

I approach it like this -- a movie is what, 2hr-2hr30min? And most marvel films have many "superheroes" and supporting cast, so even main characters have just minutes of screentime.

For a 6-10 episode TV show, that's...well, ~6-10 hours of character development. It helps build a more robust cinematic universe.

slow spire

teal river

Are chocs louder than MX Blue or Kailh Whites?

vivid ore

It's not volume, it's the block location

#

tildes just mean relative to your current location

#

you can do like ~-1 for one block in the negative direction, annoyingly Minecraft does xyz as left, up, forward

#

So it plays the sound at your current location

#

You'd have to use tildes for relative direction, if you just use numbers it's at a specific block in the world

I'm guessing the speed thing is because you're different library

exchanging messages over a serial channel is easier than shared memory

You want something that work with 6.3 and 7.0 ?

So you have to delay your change until 7.0 is available.

In the core of 7.0 so people 6.3 will not be able to use anymore.

Do you have the 10 blinking or 1 blinking?

RGB I mean.

#

Or is it the single LED blinking.

RED/GREEN that is for the upgrade.

So it is the bootloader.

Yes

0 was pressed
0 was released
1 was pressed
1 was released

I was able to get that once... only once, then button became unresponsive.

#

code.py output:
<Event: key_number 1 pressed>
<Event: key_number 1 released>
<Event: key_number 0 pressed>
<Event: key_number 0 released>

#

With `

keys = keypad.Keys((board.BUTTON_A, board.BUTTON_B), value_when_pressed=False, pull=False)`

#

But not reliable...

#

Need to check the schematics... or the code of the CircuitPlaygound library.

#

Works for me with your code !!!

#

Wonder if we can add the switch.

#

Switch from the CPB.

#

Ok keys = keypad.Keys((board.BUTTON_A, board.BUTTON_B, board.SLIDE_SWITCH), value_when_pressed=True, pull=True) does not work for the SLIDE_SWITCH...

#

Does the Circuit Playground library use gamepad?

#

Or not at all, and then we don't need to worry.

#

I don't have the PyBadger, but the PyGamer. That one has the "analogue joystic" in place of the UDLR.

#

Not sure what it use (gamepad or not).

#

Ok, how do you do group "untab" in Mu?

#

No move left and right the code... all in one.

#

This will save me a lot of typing...

upper sandal
#

*[ thing ] == thing

#

I should say call(*[thing]) == call(thing)

#

and call(*[ thing1, thing2 ]) == call(thing1, thing2)

#

so what you wanted is *button_values to unpack the elements of button_values

#

or possibly *button_values[:2]

wind spoke
#

Sorry, disconnecting, that was great, but I see that Neradoc is taking over. 🙂

"Hot girl summer is a meme, originating with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, about feeling confident in who you are—and having fun and looking good while doing it. It often involves women posting selfies with summery swag and style using the caption (I heard it's) hot girl summer." - https://megantheestallion.com/

I got a couple of the QT Py SAMD21 to try using as MiniMacroPads instead of my QT Py RP2040... but they don't have enough RAM to load the libraries DX

spare kiln
#

who needs RAM anyway

#

128 bytes was more than enough for my current project

yeah, i'm about to order more ESP32-S2 WROVER right now

bad captions. "adafruit porks things"

teal river

Mmmm, pork...

Imagine if Adafruit just put pigs on everything

lilac tusk

i was hesitant to use the ESP32-S2 WROVER but after this one.. i'm sold

teal river

aaaand my computer just crashed out of the blue...

I've got a variant of my RGB matrix board that will use the RP2040 as well which will be fun if I can get it to work

You're not lazy, you're just busy with too many other things XD

I placed 450 neopixel friday

Work smarter, not harder. Use the tools you have access to so your life is easier and more productive. Also, nothing wrong with being tactically lazy 😉

i need to sell about... 1000 of these boards to get a pick and place

@spare kilnDo you want to outsource some of your board fabrication? XD

Hmmm. Jelly beans.

I heard "jellybean part" and figured that meant it's all over/common

I love how clever that level shifting solution is

teal river

Are NeoPixel rings level shifted?

sorry, I bought 100 of those recently. that's probably my fault 😦

What it do, AdaCrew!! 😁 my question 🙋‍♂️ is something I’ve asked around and looked online for but haven’t found the answer yet, was suggested to go right to the source 😁 I live in San Diego and there are lots of pretty scenes that I want to share snaps of Adabot and me going on fun adventures as I build my project and post them to the discord, but I struggled when writing the captions because I realized I don’t know AdaBot’s gender 🙃 does adabot have a gender or are they a bot / nongendered? Wouldn’t want to spoil the fun by not being inclusive 🙃 thanks! Keep rocking it 🙂

Strangely, I'm just today using the BSS138 from Adafruit today to migrate my HVAC controller to RF95 feather. I have to level shift an AM2315.

That should be on a T-shirt with the Adafruit logo and something broken

noneeeee

technically if i wore an adafruit shirt, then it would have something broken 🙂

lilac tusk

thought i had some DMG3415 and nopeeee

ashen dove

I do have a question about it. Since there are pull up resistors on the board, I assume I don't need to add them.

I should probably put a backorder in for a reel of those from somewhere, especially if I'm gonna do more I2C stuff

lilac tusk

I feel like most of all boards coming out are going to be LED boards

#

until LEDs run out

watching back desk of ladyada- didn't catch it live, but if you guys are looking for risc-v with native usb, try gd32fv103 or bl70x if you also want bluetooth. i picked up sipeed's rv-debugger plus recently (bl702) and even the default firmware has some pretty spicy use of native usb

shell mason

i was watching olympics skateboarding while try to get sleep so didnt catch it live too

Sleeping and watching things don't mix well :P you usually fail at one of them

watching to get the sleep

no, as i dont do anything physical so its more relaxing to brain too

Surprise boxes are really fun. My brain loves a puzzle though and it's hard not to try to figure out the mystery. 🙂

teal river

Hehe, very fun

vivid ore
#

Again, really sorry about that. I was kinda sad that it got spoiled accidentally when going to check my order status and having it right there in the product description, and made a bad assumption that everyone else already saw it.

#

On that note, can I suggest that the product title not include its contents until after the official unboxing is live...?

teal river
#

In the future, just make sure you use spoiler tags on any AdaBox info to avoid spoilerificating people

#

Spoilerificationing...

#

Spolierificationating?

shadow epoch
#

So I only have 2 usb ports on my laptop, every hub I have tried has a whine to it. Does anyone know of a whine free usb hub?

clear matrix
#

Anker hubs get expensive though. I don't know what price range you're looking for, or if you don't care as long as it doesn't whine.

teal river
#

I have two of these with no whine

prime sentinel
#

It seems to me that a likely source of whine would be a switching power converter: some hubs have separate power supplies, so the whine wouldn't be in the hub itself. However, hubs with smart power delivery would probably have their own power converters, so you might want to avoid those.

teal river
#

Some are weird and will have like a 12VDC brick and then internally switch-mode down to 5V with coils and cause whine? Usually odd cheap ones

shadow epoch
#

Thanks everyone! I'll look into these options.

shadow epoch
#

Sometimes it's hard to tell if it is tinnitus or some part I have plugged in. Right now I'm using one of the hubs that I thought was making noise before, and I am not hearing it. 🙂 Win for today - plus added new hubs to cart for future wins.

teal river
#

Tinnitus suuucks

shadow epoch
#

yes. yes it does.

#

I guess it was worth it to see the Dead Kennedys and B-52s live in small venues as a youth? heh. Maybe not?

shell mason
#

sure it dues

shadow epoch
#

If I have enough equipment with fans going sometimes I don't notice it. 🙂 Also my kid gave me some noise cancelling headphones where I can pipe in some good music and that is a good distraction as well. Dentist tried changing my jaw, helped for a few years.

prime sentinel
#

In my case, it was a combination of inherited hearing issues and experiments with explosives.

shadow epoch
#

oh. right. car races and fireworks in states where we could blow anything up.. :p forgot about that. And also the jaw clenching from tension makes it worse.
