The thing about 12 hours is that you can construct with a compass and straightedge.

10 hours days (20 total) would screw up generations of people who could no longer be relied upon to say what 120 degrees was.

Whereas every schoolchild of normal ability in my generation can say very quickly that the angle between 12 and 4 is the same as that for 4 and 8 or 8 and 12.

I can't even tell you right now what'd be for 5's (57 degrees comes to mind)

I think that would mean it's radians from now on but I don't know them.

400/7n = 57.1428 .. Pretty sure 57 is a very useful number .. can't be sure of the domain though. Probably astronomy. It might be a ratio.

@dim kestrel that's always a possibility, it depends on how much stress, and how solid the part is printed. I'm just opening a trunk lid, so I suspect it'll be ok. The top of the triangle is looking a little small to me now that I'd bolted together, so I may widen that.

also, I may fillet the base of the arms where they intersect the base to spread the load

Airplay is it's own protocol.

it's over the net audio, with timing, so multiple speakers will all make same sound at once.

it uses a framing approach, and sends timing signals to all clients.

@severe crane I will have to build it from scratch. Cryo sem is for doing analysis of nuetron iradiated organisms. Cryo would make the drying procese way easier, and would greatly decrease my procese time. I just need to get a lathe to trun the parts I need.

Environmental will need a diferential pumping setup, I have all of the pumps, but getting the apurtures right in the sem is hard...

question, If i toss an arduino board into the SEM is there any chance to damage the board with the electron bombardment or would a slight charge up phenomina not even phase it?

@glossy glacier Sputter coaters are extremely useful for getting good shots! especially on things that charge up and give you those pesky white lines.

@severe crane It would likely be ok. Imaging a de-capped chip tends to kill it if you do it while runing, but you can actualy see the traces in the IC that are energized in a rapid scan mode. The rapid scan on my sem is pretty bad though...

Pi hole is great, and I think they have an option in the control interface to switch off the blocking when you have to, but I haven't tried it
