1st rep of every set is always so fucking painful around my sternum area i think
i posted the same issue/months ago but i get no more pain from that weight
so ig my tendons are still catching up?
only the 1st rep is painful is fuck the rest isnt, and speeding up my 1st rep like the others only make the pain worse
have you tried adjusting the plates more down?
and tbh if the pain is not limiting you from your working set
Then js keep going
Some people js have pain when doing dips
i was thinking about buying my own belt bc this is just the gym's chains and belt that did not even come together
the 1st rep feels like something is gonna snap brah
maybe try something else than dips?
if this seems like too much pain to keep doing it
that targets the lower chest and front delts like Dips
ive been taking a break from weighted dips because of the sternum pain
think it's easing up
also banded dips
For me I used to get Sternum pain when I was first doing dips
but after a while it went away completely
However, my first rep on the ring dip is always shittier than the rest of the reps
i got them initially when i started doing bw dips, and now recently when i was progressing really fast with adding reps and weight with the dip belt
so like yeah, you really have to intentionally pace your progress so your connective tissue can catch up with your strength
and take rehab seriously
