#Deadlift Form
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
You're not exactly hinging. You're more squatting and letting the bar drift out
Try watching this
I mean I’m trying to use my butt to move it, but can’t really tell the difference
Yeah, that looks rough
Watch the playlist, you'll see what you need to do
I mean I can try lifting it with my back more if that’s the fix
Feels like that’d hurt my lower back more tho idk
Watch the playlist to understand the setup. If you have bumper plates, I recommend them
You will learn to brace in the videos. And then you can manage your load safely to allow your lower back strength catch up slowly to the rest of your posterior chain
Yeah, no bracing is pretty apparent
Its in the videi but, here is one just in bracing
!brace

Honestly, normal deadlift relatively simple
Its just a bit counter intuitive sometimes
Well, you are doing an rdl in the video btw
It looks a bit better
It doesn't, but you need to learn the movement pattern
An alternative, you can learn to hinge with RDLs, emphasizing bring your butt back.
What’s wrong here?
The bar path is a bit all over the place for one
Your butt isn't coming back even enough to get out of the bar path.
Does your gym have bumper plates? The same size as the 45s but 10 lbs?
No
Its probable that learning to rdl first would be easier then
An alternative to learn RDLs

Watch closely how his torso moves in comparison with his legs. That's hinging
In this video we're looking at proper technique on the Romanian Deadlift (RDL) to maximize hamstrings development while avoiding mistakes and injury.

Support Technique Tuesday: I am choosing to leave the entire Technique Tuesday Series COMPLETELY UNSPONSOR...
At 1:05 in
is this supposed to be an RDL
because you're doing it badly
if its a deadlift its also a bad deadlift
You’re insufferable
im asking lmao
i mean i couldve given you advice i was just asking bc i was curious
because im not clear on what you're trying to do there
That last vid should help you get the pattern down. Once you do, you can get better at it
I’ll stick to my normal GZCLP plan and just practice DL form on the DL instead of pushing weight ig
