@warm thunder
@pure sparrow
I can normally do sets of 20 reps pretty comfortably
Just recently
It hurts a lot more
Looks pretty good. You seem to maintain scapular depression
dont look down it puts extra stress on ur sternum
i think that was one of my mistakes
Maybe less protraction at lockout
Straight ahead?
So no full lockout?
Got it
Bump
I can't relate to the sternum part so listen to sock I guess
Yeah I’m taking a week or two off to focus on deep push-ups and sternum rehab them I’m going to try going back into dips.
Thanks anyway guys dips feel better now
do some chest stretching too
Any reccomendations?
theres a stretch I found where u put ur elbows on the wall above ur head and lean into it
lemme try to find a pic
You mean arm at a 90 degree bend elbow resting on wall and lean into it?
i look goofy so i cropped it
but this
that makes me feel good during pain flare ups usually
i believe costo but never been to a doctor
So is it permanent?
uhhh idk tbh
we will see tho if it goes away someday
dips dont hurt as much as they used to tho
i just dont do them rn coz im planche training and think pushups are superior in every way
i mean if ur not training weighted dips i think u can get pretty good chest work with ring flyes and deep pushusp or pppus n stuff
Nah im tryna get weighted dips that’s the problem
I just love the exercise
ah well then dips will def be more helpful
ive been doing planche training
I’m gonna take a week break focus on pull and abs then hspu for a week then go back into push workouts normally
I’ll do rehab in the meantime
tbh i was just stretching a lot but im not a doctor at all this is just my experience
I’ll get checked out if it kills or something
Thanks anyway I appreciate your help man
Best of luck with the planche
😳
If it helps at all, mine eventually went away, but it felt like a long time. A long time first of just doing static holds.
Then I had to use lots of warm up sets when I started dipping again, to avoid pain when adding weight.
I'm pretty sure I'm all good now, but I haven't trained dips much in quite some months.
