Excuse my daughter’s commentary and my kids in general. How’s my form? Neglected pull ups for years due to lack of access but trying to get them up to par. I’m stocky (5’8” 192lbs) which probably doesn’t help me with pull ups. Currently trying to do a slow cut to get down 5-10 pounds over a few month period. Is that wise to help with calisthenics?

Maintain/increase intensity and volume on your cut and you will improve.
The biggest thing is that you turn it into a row.

#

You have the strength so I wouldn't worry about that on your journey.

Technically all pulling "rows" but the pullup is a vertical pull, as opposed to a horizontal pull or, row (like a barbell row).

#

The top of your pull, to me, points out a row.

vs something like this form

I was trying to do chest to bar, but I seem to have put too much emphasis on arching my back

#

How should feet/legs be ideally ??

Yeah should be a quick fix. You're definitely strong.

#

I tend to have my legs straight down, like they're tied together.
Some people cross them. Or bend them.
I don't think any one is better than the others, but I would advise them straight down

Ok, straight down also looks cleaner too, like the pic you posted. Thanks for the pointers, definitely helps!’
