Good idea but you want the creation of lethal grenade or shield grenade ?

What happens if a player is inside the shielded zone when it “spawns”?
Would it have health? Like could you break it with an rpg hit or grenade?

If on team of the original thrower, nothing, they be protected, but enemies would be bounced out

Think about it. Provides cover, gives the throwing team an advantage by planting themselves in a spot, forcing the enemy team to deal with them or chuck a nade. The differences come in that this is an OP version of that
- Unrealistic
- Easily exploitable to block off entire hallways on maps like Bunker
- Unrealistic
- Completely useless if you can just break it with a melee weapon

- Defeats the purpose of smoke grenades (and, realistically, even trip mines) entirely
