add a veteran application ping role so it saves everyone who wants to vote for vets time. Thank you.

I assume you just create the role and modify the default application message in the channel

That's handled by BBot, we have no control over that since rocky's gone. Possible workaround would be a dyno autoresponder to new messages in that channel.

BUT!!! Every mod (i think) or admin has control over dyno.

Veteran applications are handled through Broker Bot. Announcing votes and handling of them are all through Broker Bot.

Everything related to the veteran process relies on Broker Bot.

We cannot modify anything in regards to how it's handled, as much as we may want to change some aspects.

I thought me meant litteraly a @veteran that would ping any online vet incase someone wanted a image posted

Which is why something like an autoresponder with a trigger for any new messages in #veteran-applicants basically just saying "@Veteran New Candidate ^^" or something along those lines would work as a workaround

An alternative is to have the notifications for #veteran-applicants set as “All messages”

It acts the same as a ping would, in both instance you will get notified whenever a new application is submitted

Which will be on a user-by-user basis. They have to right click on the channel to set that for themselves. A good option.

since broker bot is down, now dyno is doing applys, can it be done ?

dyno has the option to ping people, yes

idk if it is a premium feature though

that aside, I have said before in various places that we will not have vets be pinged by default
